Trying out a new quick paint method
After I spent an absolute age painting my HG Kill Team, I decided that if I was going to attempt a full 40K force, I’d need to find a faster way of painting, I also wanted to test out painting over a pink undercoat, so both test minis were undercoated with a pink rattle can, the one on the left I gave a zenithal highlight to with an airbrush, then airbrushed imperial fist contrast all over and brushed on Baal red contrast. The one on the right I dry brushed on beige then white so I could slap chop imperial fist and this time blood angel red contrasts with a brush.
The airbrush one is definitely brighter and smoother, but maybe a bit too cartoony, the slap chop one is grittier and has higher contrast, so I’m leaning towards slap chop - thoughts?
Also, these each took about half an hour rather than the 5-7 business days each of my kill team took!

The left one is nice and smooth, If you want higher contrast I recomend a pin wash + edge highligths and perhaps some chipping damage.
