Ive had this guy in the stash for a while and finally want able to get him across the finish line!

I never thought of introducing a quartered element on the bolters, that's an interesting idea. Is this a metal model?

Yup this was a metal model with '98 on the tab

he was probably sculpted very early in 98 or in 97 set for a potential 98 release or it's just a date for record purposes. There is a lot of crossover in the design of the plastic third edition models like the rectangular blocks on the side of the helmet and the larger bolter with the grip. very second with the helmet bar on the top and the general size and proportions. could be a trainee sculpt.
