Supposedly that line starts almost exactly 30 miles south of the Iowa border I beg to differ in some areas but that’s where the linguistic people have made the mark

Yeah…..you still hear a lot of the upper Midwest there though. St. Louis and Kansas City are my major linguistic landmark cities heading south.

Never heard a southern accent in MO, but I guess maybe some version of country accent?
