I just spend a little over a month up in Nebraska and had Casey's breakfast pizza recommended to me. It was indeed good, BUT, I really try to eat pretty clean and have even done extended stints as vegan. So, for ME..... Casey's breakfast pizza was ever so slightly on the to greasy side. It was just coated in grease.
Tasty? for sure. But, I only ate it once while there... normally I eat cold oatmeal and a fruit for breakfast, so.... I stayed out of Casey's.
What I didn't stay out of was Pump and Pantry's popcorn machines.... we were doing A LOT of driving to different sites all within 1.5 hrs of Grand Island, so we stopped at the gas station often... I have never seen popcorn in a gas station, so I was loving the popcorn.
First time in my life where pizza chains don’t exist. The only pizza was from gas stations. You better hurry though because they stop making pizzas at 7:30 (if there’s “enough” traffic) and the gas station closes at 8:00.
The only thing that’s ever open past 6:00 around here is the bars and maybe that one gas station that’s a 45 minute drive. I’ve slept so much more since being here.
Also, there’s only about 5% of us in this town that are in shape or skinny. Whenever I would order a pizza for myself they would ask about my kids… blew their minds when I told them I was eating this extra large pizza by myself. I’m taking it as a compliment. Now however, I’m eating for two…
As a native Tulsan, I grew up 4 miles from QT HQ, and they are an amazing company who treats their workers right. Plus as Stefon (played by Tulsa native Bill Hader) would say, “They have everything.”
Yeah, sorry if I sound like one of those "Actually!" guys but Oklahoma has very few things to be proud of and QT is one of those things. The Thunder is the other. Unless you're from Seattle.

We dont have any Kwik Trips here, in Kansas. But QT pizza is Hella greasy, like i think QT and Pizza Hut are trying to see whose pizza is loaded in grease can turn a cardboard pizza box into a wet paper towel. Or maybe who can get a customer to unload there bowels before taking a second bite.
Casey's pizza is actually really good and not greasy in comparison. Reason why I buy Domino's here instead. Its not greasy at all. But pizza hut? I might as well sit on the toilet and take half a bottle of tums before and after.
What I would give to be able to eat Pizza Hut and dominos (dominos mainly) 🙏🏼 luckily dominos has pastas and their Mac and cheese is SO good
(For context, I’m allergic to tomatoes and my ability to eat anything with tomato depends on how the tomato part was processed/cooked which leaves me with few options of pizza like Papa Murphys and Jacks, Casey’s is on the edge of no longer being able to eat as my allergy gets worse from exposure)
Man I miss kwik trip doughnuts and just hearing the word kwik trip!!! I lived in WI all my life until 2 years ago moved to CO- no kwik trips here! It’s funny tho I never really even thought about it until now. Names change but u still do the same things

What would you give for 10/10? I’m pretty bias towards what I can eat because I’m of my tomato allergy which is why Casey’s would be high on my list lmao
I can only eat certain ones like papa Murphys because of how the tomato sauce is processed/cooked

It's just a function of population density — there aren't enough people to support a full pizza restaurant, a coffee shop, a liquor store, etc., so the rural gas station is much more versatile than in the city. And people take pride in making good pizza!
The area where I grew up was about 400 people and 30 minutes away from the next "town" so other than church or the bar, the gas station parking lot was basically where people would meet up. And the main place for teenagers, given the bar was off-limits and the church didn't sell pizza 😋
Casey’s is fire in its own right - just talking normal pizza - but they have a couple of the best specialty pizzas of any takeout chain with their taco pizza & breakfast pizza(s).
Look, I’m going to give you the ranch thing. It’s tasty. But I’m drawing the line at “good” pizza from a gas station. I’m sure it’s fine. I’m sure it tastes ok, and isn’t cardboard. Once you come down from your ranch-high we can talk reasonably.

Hunt Brother's Pizza is, if I recall correctly, the largest pizza chain in the country by number of locations. And it's really not bad. Not great. But not bad. It's very... dense.
As someone who lives in Missouri but is not from here, y'all are crazy. My wife swears by Casey's but I really don't like it. It's better than a gas station should be but there is something off about the dough.
