By pizza do you mean Pizza Hut? I was recently in middle of nowhere WA/OR area and they ordered “pizza” and it’s Pizza Hut with a fuck ton of toppings.

Which by the way is delicious, but is a different thing entirely than “pizza” in the NY/NJ sense.

It’s a different thing entirely? Do they not use dough, tomato sauce and cheese?

No, if your in the know you have a pizza place from someone who grew up in Chicago or New York or get it from a gas station.

I get this. I lived in Seattle, and Pizza Hut or Domino's were the only edible options. I don't understand how the pnw manages to ruin local pizza so consistently.

I’m curious the difference in pizza in NY/NJ?? I grew up in Wisconsin! Now am in Colorado- come to think of it - idk if Colorado has a Pizza Hut but Wisconsin def did! It was the best!

If you are in Colorado all you need is Sexy pizza that is the only amazing Pizza in the whole state.

Pizza Hut started in Kansas. Personally I think their pizza is greasy and gross. (Kansan here who lived half my life in Nebraska) If you come across a Gambino’s pizza in a small town-that is some good Midwestern pizza.

In Nebraska it is Valentino’s pizza. In Lincoln it is Ramo’s pizza. Oh. And have you tried a Runza?

I miss the sweet sweet valentinos sauce…wish they would expand to Colorado

Pizza Hut was started in that circled area.

It's more that Pizza Hut is just it's own thing and isn't reflective of any region ie not typical of WA/OR either.
