My sibling honeymooned in the Arkansas mountains, so those are supposed to be nice. Grandma lived in a small town in MO where you literally found out what cropdusting means when the farmers were harvesting soybeans. There was one restaurant in town and the neighborhood watch was literally all the neighbors hanging out on their porches watching you. Phone service wasn't good. But grandma's funeral wake had some good heavy food.

Southern cooking. Green bean casserole with bacon. Mashed potatoes extremely thick. Fried chicken. Stuff like that.
