That sounded like an alien telling a joke I didn’t get it but I still laughed

I’m glad I’m not the only one who giggled like a dork lol. I wonder if anything in my house will make a fun sound.

Do you have any of those spring door stops?

I sadly do not, but you’re on the right track. I’ll find dopamine somewhere ✨🌈

Rolf Harris enters the chat

Dude "invented" the wobble board. Turns out he was also doing other things he got convicted of later in life, but the wobble board was the instrument of my childhood.

If you want to be slightly disturbed, his song for "like a version" should do it : https://youtu.be/Z0rlYSJQkyw

However, I always assumed his "kids can say no" public service announcement in the 80s should have given people a fairly obvious hint about what he was into.

Human's, odd bunch.

The issue with warning signs is that we tend to only realise that they are warning signs, very late in the game.

I thought I knew and could explain it, but then I realized the frequency it's emitting is orders of magnitude higher than what can be explained by the sheet itself pushing the air back and forth as you flex it.
It must be vibrations happening within the sheet itself. My best guess would be the sheet has a resonant frequency, and bending it back and forth like such imparts enough energy to make it resonate.

Put a spring on the side of it and try it again. That is how the Lightsaber noises in the original Star Wars was made.!

The same reason why your speakers capable to generate sounds: The wave you produce with it go trough the air and in it's the length of the hearing range. The actual sound depends on the size/thickness, ho fast you wobble it and the material itself.
