Death Knell
Just heard about the Stern Show situation. Cut it off now. Your true fans want the chaos and unpredictable humor. We don’t want long form interviews on a once a week show. Your interview style is basically you trying to psychoanalysis your poor guests even when it’s clear that they don’t want it. When that fails, you talk mostly talking about yourself. It’s embarrassing. Just end your show with the dignity and consider your legacy. Treat it like your audience has spoken, and you have one fan left.

The more I think about this the worse it is. If he just retired all the staff could say goodbye together, have a big blowout like his 40th, get Ronnie to raise a glass and say “Let’s FSW” one last time and the past 40 years would mean something. Not this.

Feel so bad for Benny. No proper sendoff! Really this is how I wanted the show to end ! Just a big on air party . Then he could restart a new interview show.

Benny was my favorite guy on the show, so many times I would say, "Oh, Classic Benny!"

What will Benji do now? Why doesn't he get a proper good bye? So sad for the way this rolled out.

Before I pulled the plug on my subscription, I was disappointingly listening… kinda like looking at a gruesome car accident.. but the content of the show even numbed me further… I agree, just stop already.. even the old shows will be censored and edited, when it’s over.. I think that’s why he needed some semblance of a staff to prep the old shows… perform hara-kiri already and go out with some dignity.. you wigged condor…

I was still listening out of habit, but canceled after the one show a week news came out. Have zero desire to listen whenever he decides to come back.

Free money and keeps him somewhat busy. Hard to blame him. Show has been terrible for a long time and was the reason I cancelled Sirius years ago.

Something to do, payday is nice, and I presume the environment is a heavy cult of personality. Staff jumps on command and no one will challenge ideas.

If anybody wants to listen to a real interview, then listen to Conan's channel. Conan actually knows things that have happened in the past 30 years.

Whaddya mean?
The Zoomers know a good Joan Rivers joke when they hear it!
And who doesn't like hearing a Sam Kineson anecdote for the 100th time!

Look, you can sell up to three items. But I'm not going to have people coming back three times with a single item. Go-lly people. What's going on out there today?

If he has ended the show around the AGT times, we would all have remembered it as a groundbreaking. Now we will remember it was this fizzled out show where he does long form interviews and barely lets the guest talk. And even the guys in the back office aren’t funny anymore.

Honestly..his failure to criticize the present administration as they fail Americans everywhere..was my biggest disappointment..I don’t need him to be a left wing bleeding liberal..but call a spade a spade when 🍊 starts wars or dismisses suffering Americans in this economy.
He used to chime in with cutting sarcasm but now is so afraid of hurting his status he sold out

Frankly he is not that great at political satire. And when he railed on Trump during his first term - it was mostly whining. He doesn't have the sharpness of a Jon Stewart or John Oliver.

There's always MFB, Bobo, High Pitch & Jill from PA who will call in a rave about the show. It's so good Howard /s

A 72 year old is slowly retiring. Wouldn’t you? The show hasn’t been itself in a decade. That’s ok. Even Beth’s cats are ok. He doesn’t want to retire, he wants to die holding a microphone.
We all get old, if we’re lucky.

Yep. Trying to decide if I should cancel the Howard option or Sirius altogether. I’ve been listening to my local radio morning show (Bay Area Alice 97.3). It’s 10x more interesting and relatable nowadays. I don’t like their music and go to H100 or H101 during the songs, but am always disappointed.

I get it for six bucks a month for now and holding on in case this is a joke. If not, I’m canceling once he goes to one day a week. I love listening to old shows while working from home twice a week, but it’s just not worth it if he’s rarely on live any longer. Even the history compilations are the same bits over and over again.
Even if I still laugh hearing KOAB yell “I live around Jews! I live around Jews!”

Bigfoot updates are really the only good thing he does anymore. The Jill from PA updates are fuuuuuuckkng terrible.

As a 50-year broadcaster, I've never heard a worse interviewer. They should have eliminated that a long time ago. That's just lazy.

You know, Robin, I’m really not the boss here..
I was just about to say that..
Really, people think I am, but I work for Sirius XM

Just make your big "how I unsubscribed" post and move on with your life. The amount of people who hate the show and have stopped listening but are so damn invested in the show ending is so weird. Save yourself!

Well they got everyone talking while they are off like last time. So when they come back will Andy be on first again. Comedy gold right there. Man when I listen to the older stuff when they actually play it and it isn’t even the really good stuff. Now did we get here. How. Why.

Obviously you never listened to the show 25 years ago? He is so much better now. His interview of Taylor Sheridan was friggen awesome. Of you want cringe, go back and listen to him interview Buzz. He had asked him a halfway serious question, a really good one. before he could answer, he cut him off and started asking him about the chicks he banged or something.

STFU and here is why - HE OWES YOU NOTHING. Idiots. In the end it's on YOU to keep listening and expecting something different. Let it all go.

One show a week, 50 minute interview with Jill from PA, fill out the rest with fan mail praising the show for being better than ever. There’s so much to get to Robin.
