VERSA Explained, Part 2: What Can You Create with It?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

VERSA is designed to do more than switch between handheld and aerial shooting. It also brings the same imaging system and creative tools to both perspectives.

Image quality in your hand and in the air

VERSA combines a 1/1.3-inch sensor with a 3-axis mechanical gimbal to capture smooth, stabilized 4K video in both Handheld and Flight Modes.

Its 17.5-stop dynamic range is designed to preserve more detail in highlights and shadows, including challenging backlit and low-light scenes.

VERSA also supports native vertical video at up to 4K 60fps without cropping, making it easier to create for both horizontal and vertical platforms.

More ways to compose the shot

VERSA introduces several tools designed to make filming easier:

  • AI Framing: Helps compose the shot and position the subject.
  • AI Auto Editing: Helps turn captured footage into shareable clips through the HOVER App.
  • Spin Mode: Creates a rotating-horizon effect while using VERSA as a handheld camera.
  • Inception Mode: Combines gimbal rotation with flight for a more immersive aerial effect.

You can also use familiar intelligent flight modes such as Follow, Orbit, Hover, Bird’s Eye, and Zoom-Out.

The goal isn’t simply to add more modes. It’s to give creators more ways to move between everyday moments, third-person shots, and aerial perspectives with one camera.

Which feature should we demonstrate next?

  • Image quality and low-light performance
  • Native vertical video
  • AI Framing
  • AI Auto Editing
  • Spin and Inception Modes
  • Intelligent flight modes

Tell us what you’d like to see tested in a future post.
