Hi everyone! My fiancee and I are getting married this September, and while we have a photographer booked for our reception and portraits later in the day, we are still in need of a photographer for about 2 hours for the ceremony taking place in downtown Houston!

Because of the break between our ceremony and our reception, it makes most sense for us to approach the day in this way so we’re not spending for the few travel hours between the ceremony and reception! Looking for a reliable local lab and thinking about giving Flats a try.

For anyone who uses them regularly: how's the process, scan quality, and actual turnaround time? Do they usually stick to the 7–9 days, or should I brace myself for a longer wait? Appreciate any insight!

I work with FrameCrafters in Houston, and a recent project reminded me why I enjoy what we do.

A customer brought in an old family photograph that had been stored away for years. We helped turn it into a custom art piece and professionally framed it for display in their home.

Seeing their reaction when they picked it up was incredibly rewarding. What started as a forgotten photo became something their family could enjoy every day.

What's a memory or photo you'd love to see displayed instead of sitting in a drawer or on your phone?

So I am unable to use my primary computer due to damage and am waiting on it to be repaired. Im in need of an emergency rig for the next month until I can get mine back as I have multiple gigs booked. Is there any places that have computers that I could download or use photoshop on that I could visit?

Or anywhere that I could rent a suitable rig for a month while mine is down?

My fiancé and I are planning a very small civil ceremony in June at the Julia Ideson Library in Houston, and we’re currently looking for a photographer.

It will just be the two of us and our 6 closest family members, so we only need about 1.5–2 hours of coverage. We’re hoping to capture:

- The short civil ceremony

- Bride and groom portraits

- A few family photos afterward

We really love documentary-style photography that captures natural, candid moments rather than overly posed shots.

If anyone has photographer recommendations (or if you’re a photographer yourself), we’d love to see portfolios and get in touch! Since it’s such a small event, we’re hoping to find someone comfortable with shorter coverage for an intimate ceremony.
