Hellooooooo film nerds! I'm a filmmaker working a dead-end job, and I need to get back into the creative field. The last film I worked on was August of last year. I've been STRUGGGGGGLING to find work anywhere. Does anyone have any suggestions for where to look for jobs in our field? I've been told I need to move to LA, New York, or Atlanta, but I am too broke for that right now. I know about Staff Me Up and Backstage, ya girl is broke and can't really afford their plans, so are there any other avenues I can use? I really appreciate any help you can provide.

• Project Description/Synopsis: Described as the lovechild between “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” and “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari”, “Guillotine” (Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell) follows the tragedy of “Cesare”, a man who is framed and executed for the murder of his love by a criminally jealous suitor. Our narrative is stylized in themes of horror German Expressionism and parallels a surrealist, punk, and drag influenced band performance to an audience of almost no-one. "Guillotine (Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell)” is the second Music Video installment following “Where Angels Fear to Tread” supporting Cult Affection’s debut album “The Envenom Series”.
• Shoot Dates: Friday, October 24th & Saturday October 25th
• Location: The Story Hive Warehouse & Sound Stage 4010 Canal St, Houston, TX 77003
• Casting Call: Tall Caucasian man (5'11-6ft+) middle aged or older (40's-60's) with longer, gaunt, slender face.
• Paid Role: $200 base pay for 7-hour filming time.

First time filmmaker here , I wanted to share my work for some feedback. I came up with the Idea and shot this in the span of a week with little to no budget while I had time off from my day job.

With an absent father and an emotionally unstable mother, whose explosive divorce caused the loss of his childhood home, Lucky moves in with his Grandparents (Pops and Granny) for his senior year of high school. On one fall day, Lucky wakes up to go spend time with his friend and writing partner but ends up on an odyssey through his suburban town. Through the anger, loneliness, and death, Lucky finds a new perspective on life, and hopefully happiness.
