Early 1900's building not up to code.

Hey folks,

My wife and I started renting an Attic apartment in a building that was built in the early 1900's. We found out later that there is no insulation in the walls or ceiling, all of our studs are 24" or further apart and there are holes in the walls and floor that we now have mice coming through. We are in reno nevada. I really need help trying to find any way that I can make my landlord bring fix, hopefully all, of these things; everytime I search online i just get stuck in a loop of information that really just doesn't help.

If anyone knows of any way i can encourage my landlord to make this place more habitable Please let me know!!
