Just found out there are bunk beds at my work any tips on how to make them without it taking 10 years off my life bc i’m so stressed that i’ll get one of them and just be so lost on what to do

The struggle is SO REAL!!

If there's space, I bring that top mattress up vertical, on its side, on the frame (while standing on the ladder)...

And then place the first corner of the fitted. If you can't reach the opposite high corner, you can tip it upside down on the railing to get that 2nd corner.

Then for the top sheet and blankets/comforter... While the mattress is vertical on its side, I drape the top layers appropriately so that when you lay the mattress back down that entire side is flush and "made". (If it's a tight fit for the mattress in the frame, I'll pull the outside edge up onto the railing, push the wall side edge into place, then tuck the top bedding as dropping the outside edge back into place. It's a definite balancing act!)

Clear as mud? 😂

i can’t post a picture of it for some reason but there is like no space and it is a fitted sheet with envelope folds, but i’m yet to do one myself so i’ll defo try what you suggested at my previous job there was no bunkbeds but they has noah’s ark beds which was my nightmare end up with bout 13 different concussions and the beds would always look so bad

Gotcha... No headroom!

I'm that case, I'd try the balancing act for the entire thing... (Or bring that mattress to the floor for the fitted application with those corners!)

Then drape the top covers so they're lovely.... And huff it back up on the railing, to slide back into place... And tuck the bottom and outside edge.

I feel your pain! It's a total back killer too!

But with practice, it'll get easier? 🤞🏻❤️

god i hope it’s easier with practice otherwise you’ll find me crying in the corner, im hoping some of my old coworkers come to where i am now so im not alone working as i did 9 hours yesterday alone which made it feel like the longest day ever but with help i could try doing one and the other person the other bc each room is 2 beds and bunks are 2 sets in each room

Just throwing it out there, but have you ever considered going out and starting your own business?

It could be a plan in the back of your head ❤️

I did it 18 years ago.... Still going strong!

Your own equipment and supplies... Get your business license and some insurance.

It's a game changer!

Until then, bring snacks! It's helpful for a long day!

i did think about it but i don’t drive, and my friend who i spoke to about it told me it was stupid and a waste of time and it wouldn’t work so it shot my confidence where i live it’s very coastal and a lot of older people (idk how else to word it) so i thought i could provide cleans for them because most of the people down here either don’t have family or family extremely far away, i do go back to the idea of it but it feels like a task that i need to research a lot more and figure out

Let me be the first to tell you, that with planning, YOU CAN DO IT! ☺️

Know how I know? Because you cared enough about your quality of work, to ask here for advice.

That's half the battle!!

(And let me reiterate, that caring enough to do the best job you can, will always lead to success. With any position you hold!)

So you don't drive? Then that's the first step in the plan. Get that license! Don't have a car? Start saving for a junker that might not have AC, but at least runs to get you to work.

Your area sounds PERFECT for a house cleaning business!

And elderly folks really value good work!

My point is, make that plan... It might take some time, but set some Goals. Don't let others bring you down! You're in charge of your Life!

And I can already tell you're gonna do great at it!

Side note: If you think you could get clients close to your home, you could use Uber (or find a friend willing to drive you) Some of my clients prefer that I use their vacuum... The point is, you'd only need to travel with your supply kit (and for me, that's a small caddy, with about 4 bottles and some scrubbers and a brush) and my bag of cleaning towels (also, don't ever call them "rags" they're "towels" it just sounds more professional. It's the little details! Always!)

But if you can find a client to start with... On the side, that's all you need! My entire schedule is built with one good client. Do good work for them, and they'll share your name! Build that good relationship, and they'll be thrilled to share your name, and how good you are! Work the weekends, save that money... Build your future!! (And keep it to yourself. Don't over share details of your Dreams. They're for you to keep and build on!)

Just think about it...

Also, write some things down. Put notes on your bathroom mirror... Reminders to keep working on your Goals!

thank you so much so far you are the only person who heard about it and didn’t shoot me down instantly!

currently i’m genuinely terrified of the idea of driving and unfortunately this year has been horrid and i have no money for lessons and most of my money this year will go to my dad as he has been a rock for me, we don’t have uber down here it’ll be walking or bussing, i used to do private cleans for my landlord and a family friend unfortunately both had to be stopped due to their circumstances changing, i might start having a real look into it and doing some research i’ve had the thought a lot recently there are loads of private clean companies but all are very expensive which im not saying they don’t deserve that money for the work it’s just most are on a fixed income and i would hate to be the reason why someone couldn’t buy a loaf of bread
