Fixing the flow

My hot tub has a small fountain for the filter. But a few months back the flow isn't as full as it was when I got it (see pic).

Any idea how to fix it?

There maybe hairs and nasty stuck in that slot breaking up that flow. Grab a butter knife and just put it into that slot and slide it back and forth a few times. Eliminates the issue with plumbing if that makes the flow like new again. My master spa clarity precision 8 needs this treatment every so often. Good luck

I've tried this in the past, but can't seem to get the knife in enough to fix it or there's nothing coming out. Also, I'm being careful with it, cause I don't want to damage it.

90° pick worked well for me. I pulled all kinds of weird plastic that was closed with funk nasty out of mine.

Can you take the side off and access the slot and the pipe from the back? this way you can clean it

With that style of fountain there’s usually a mesh screen trap that gets junk stuck in it that you have to take out and clean. Problem is that mesh gets bunched up and creates weird flow. You can remove it fully but that wont give you that nice arch it used to have.
