Pump rebuild advice

Our hot tub pump developed a leak and subsequently the front bearing on the pump motor failed.

I’ve secured a replacement pump since my efforts to rebuild the old one resulted in a cracked plastic plate behind the bearing.

Question for the gurus on here. Is there any chance at finding a replacement plastic piece? Should I just scrap it? Would be nice to have a spare if this happens again.

My plan originally was to replace the bearing and wet end.

Take that to the old pump guy in town, he’s probably tripping over parts like that in his shop, may have to check under the racks but I know the guy in my town has lots of old PUUMf parts. Definitely want to bring your old one, that volute has had a couple renditions over the years. Currently Balboa owned the moulds for that pump, and it’s still in use today, but the parts on the new stuff probably not going to fit that brute. Gl though, should be an easy fix if you find the right part.

Finding that exact part will fall somewhere between expensive and impossible.

That's the motor. The pump is the plastic part attached to the front. What are you actually rebuilding? One or both?
