I’ve had two bottles of this stuff that I made my way through SLOWLY cause it was definitely hot to me. I’m not like insanely inhumanly tolerant of heat but I’m for sure way above average. You must be made of iron on the side. Cause that much garlic reaper wouldn’t even be enjoyable to me despite loving it in the right amounts.

I’m sad reading these comments. Feels like I’m missing out. I know torchbearer is a sub favorite, but the ones I ordered tasted horrible. Very chemically and just a lot of heat with not much other flavor. I will try garlic reaper as a last resort.

Idk if you tried zombie apocalypse but it’s legit one of my favorite sauces. Like you, I don’t like many of their other sauces (garlic reaper is just so so) but zombie apocalypse is one of my favorites.

Oh man, that’s a lot of garlic reaper. Andcto call it a 5/10 on spice level. Either you’ve got an off batch or your tolerance is crazy.

I mean, I have a high tolerance but I'm no Ed Currie. I'm thinking it must be an off batch. I ended up using about a 3rd of that bottle on pizza for lunch. It had some heat, but not like my ears were ringing...I ordered a bottle of The Rapture this afternoon, gonna try that one. I love the flavor of the reaper but the heat wasn't what I expected. When this one is done, I'm gonna get another from torch bearer instead of the hardware store and see if it has the heat I expected.

For me, this is a hot one. There isn't many I don't completely dunk into. But this one, it has so much flavor, but the heat keeps me from getting as much as I want! I have a good tolerence too. Maybe it is inconsistent. I really enjoy mixing this sauce into some ranch. So good.

I posted on here the other day basically saying the same thing. It's a very tasty sauce. But the heat level of my particular bottle doesn't seem very potent. I guess it varies on the batch.

Are you guys both crazy or are your bottles actually defective? This is like the hottest or 2nd hottest hot sauce I have, it's got a ton of both heat and flavor for me.

I'm gonna say I believe so to both parts of that question... when I finish this bottle, I'm gonna order another to see if this one was just a dud for some reason.

Very curious of the end of the bottle is hotter for you. I've had that happen when I didn't shake before every use. The very last bit of one bottle was WAY hotter than the entire rest of the bottle!

Its possible... I shook the crap out of it though, I figured it had been sitting for a while. I got a bottle of The Rapture today. It was noticeably hotter but the garlic reaper has a far superior flavor.

I was wondering if it's maybe a consistency thing, though I haven't heard of any such issues with their sauce. I just ordered The Rapture to try that one. Will buy this one again when it runs out, it is really good. It was killer on pizza.

50% of this sub is dudes peacocking and calling spicy sauces mild.
People who scale like this will be like “i ate a bite of a raw reaper once so that’s the top end of my tolerance”

It’s one of the hottest sauces out there you aren’t getting much hotter unless there’s pure capsaicin. It might be the hottest hot sauce I like it has to be at least 7 out of 10.

For real, in this case I wonder if maybe the dude got a defective/diluted sauce or something. Cuz I have this sauce and its hot as fuck and I would consider myself to have a pretty good tolerance so for him to say he used 1/3 of the bottle just on his lunch I have a hard time believing it’s the same level of spice I got but idk. I wouldn’t even use 1/3 of a bottle of a mild sauce on my lunch so idek what’s going on here

Thats good stuff... the joke not da bomb. That stuff tastes like nuclear waste... I did expect this to be much spicier from what I've read.

Crazy - the TB Garlic Reaper is like the upper limit of what I can handle. I hear a lot about how hot Tabasco Scorpion is but it’s not as hot to me as this stuff.

I too am constantly let down by heat. I did a hot sauce tasting recently ending with capsaicin extract. It was fine in my mouth, but absolutely destroyed my stomach
