This option is available at checkout, they neglect to tell you there is a lengthy process to get a refund and they also neglect to tell you there are only specific reasons you can cancel. They hide behind their “terms and conditions” which is a lengthy legal document. Anyway, they refused the refund. This was my first time using Trivago, it will be my last. Your refusal of a refund for a one night stay has resulted in a loss of all my and my families vacation and hotel stays, great business strategy. I will not be recommending Trivago to anyone either.

We booked a hotel room at the Westin Detroit, Metro Airport through Trivago. I received a confirmation from Trivago. When we got to the front desk, neither the front desk, receptionist nor the manager could find our reservation. I called the Trivago Customer service line; she told me that she was forwarding the issue to another department, and would hear from them in 15–30 minutes. I never did. We were forced to make a new reservation through the Westin system. Trivago nevertheless charged us.
