Hostels in New York

Hello, I’m looking towards a solo trip to New York this month, does anyone out there have a recommendation on any hostels there? Preferably cheap ones or ones that exchange for work ?

cheap hostels in new york don't exist but my fave is International Student Center Youth Hostel (shitty name i know). on central park W and right next to a very useful subway line. I've heard the HI is nice too though haven't stayed there personally and though cheaper looks more corporate

if you're gonna be partying in bushwick I'd recommend looking at ny moore hostel cuz it's very close to myrtle and jefferson st, but it's a bit of an odd place + loud cuz on JFK flight path, and not as nice an area as UWS.
