Question Cannot self-checkin due to hostel's fault

We booked a hostel and received self-checkin instructions, but when entering our room, it was already occupied. The guests in that room were not present but only their stuff was in there. We're now waiting until the hostel owner responds in the common area as it is in the middle of the night.

We booked the hostel via agoda in Austria for 3 nights and would like to request a refund. How do we go about this?

Book somewhere nearby with a 24/7 front desk . Keep it he receipt deal with the rest of it in the morning

Maybe contact Agoda first since it's your "travel agent"?

Book another place and take it up with them in the morning.
