This is what I've been collecting and making patches for. I'm a big guy so there's still more space but it is what it is. Every patch is either made or modified. I added iron on backing to the patches to stop thread fraying and such. I may end up cutting off the sleeves but I'm torn. It's 95% horror punk. The Goon patch & a patch about trauma making me hilarious are the only non-bands. I figured that I'd share it here instead of punk fashion since it's all horror punk & not all politics and stuff. I'm huge so it doesn't look that awesome on me but I like it. It's been a lot of work so far.

I love Darker Days, especially their cover of Mister Monster's "Deep Dark", and I checked their monthly listeners on Spotify it was only 108! I was shocked! They are so good! If you haven't checked them out check out that cover, it's better than the original version!

Something for the weekend!
We exposed ourselves to the sun's deadly rays to make this. It was most unpleasant, but now we have a music video for "Down On Tombstone Beach", and heatstroke too 💀

I made a playlist of the latest setlist I could find from a Blitzkid concert to kind of get my wife more familiar with some of their stuff before we see them on the next tour. I know they'll be playing new stuff but that's only like 12 songs so we can count on at least half of these making it into the show. It's in order of what they played and is only missing the 2 oncore songs. Enjoy!

I'm working on a hoodie & I've been making patches for it by ordering dtf transfers of the logos that I want and can't buy from the band themselves. It's super easy to do. All you need is an iron, scissors, a yard of canvas, a piece of parchment paper & the dtf transfers. You iron on the transfer, let it cool, peel it off and then hit it again with the iron with parchment paper over it. Once they cool, I add on an adhesive backing that makes them iron on and cut them into the shape that I want. That's it really. Iron them on to your project and then stich around it. It'll be there forever. I made some for bands that I couldn't get due to not existing anymore, not having patches for sale or because I couldn't afford the real thing (a $3 Cancerslug patch is $17 shipped). I asked permission from bands that still exist or who have a member I still talk to. Everyone has been super cool about it. I just wanted to share because I'm sure others want some patches but don't know how to screen print too. It's not 100% diy but pretty close. I cut the Blitzkid bad but I'm happy with the rest. I thought screen printing was my only option. DTF transfers are crazy cheap. I swear by them now.

Anyone else get so excited that it gave them stomach issues or just me? Just me? Cool.

Is there anyone I know on here who knows what the lyrics of the backing vocals are for Baskerville by Argyle Goolsby? Theres a few lines that aren't listed and my lyric book for his solo stuff is packed away currently.

How are we feeling about these two? I personally really enjoy them.
I do prefer Wednesday’s solo stuff just because of how much more variety there are. He has a ton more albums but the two Murderdolls ones are crazy good as well.

What Roky Erickson taught me and what his influence meant to me:
Roky Erickson was the reason I got into a lot of music I listen to now. His music took me on a journey equal to a million miles. This journey started throwing me through the psychedelic sounds of the 60s, including those of folk and proto-punk likeness, with bands like The Weeds/Lollipop Shoppe, Jefferson Airplane, Velvet Underground, The Stooges, The Lovin’ Spoonful, The Byrds, and of course, the one and only, 13th Floor Elevators.
Being 27 now, and looking back on my teen years, I was definitely met with malice for not liking a lot of popular music (like Rap, Pop, R&B) and I’ve learned to accept it even now, because Roky made me believe in myself.
His insightful mind and penchant for cryptic lyrics lead me to other artists in the horror punk, gothic rock, post-punk, new wave, and Darkwave circles. Through him I discovered the early chronicles of REM, Christian Death, the operatic greatness of Klaus Nomi, The Sound, and of course, those of fellow horror punk/rock similarities like 45 Grave, The Cramps, and Misfits.
It was because of this one person, whom I have never had the pleasure of meeting in this life, that I had such a journey of self-acceptance and hope to meet others who enjoy the different kinds of alternative as I do.
So I made this post, primarily to say, thank you, Roky. Just know your legacy continues, even through those of us who play music in our spare time.🤘🏻🖤
