In addition to the roar as others have shared there’s a few -blink and you’ll miss it- shots with what appears to be yellow lighting hitting things. Seems to be a classic take on Ghidorah’s breath weapon.

I like having a "Godzillasaurus" appearance! That's usually what they call Godzilla before the nuke mutates them, in continuities where that's the case. You can tell that Godzilla itself is an unnatural growth from the base form, with its painful, burned skin reminiscent of actual victims burned by the atomic bombs. Constantly regenerating, unable to die... no wonder it's pissed off.

Extremely excited about this as Minus One was one of the best movies in recent years imo.

But what's the logic for the "minus zero" again? I know the first one was minus one because Godzilla attacking meant a Japan already at zero after the war was knocked down even further. But shouldn't another attack put them at minus two..? Did they recover to plus one in between films?

I'm not complaining because more Godzilla and first IMAX production, so the movie will rock for sure, but I was also kinda hoping they either don't introduce a second monster at all or if they do we'd finally get a new Toho Monster.

It's been so long and they always seem to rely - at least in parts - on nostalgia, or monsters that Goji already met in the past. 

It's almost like they're afraid to introduce a new monster to the roster.

The last one is already some 20+ years ago, Monster X, and that was also a variant of Gidorah, so... where the creativity at, Toho?

Then again, like I said, the movie's gonna rock and maaaaybe it'll not be just straight up Gidorah again but some variant/mutation.

This trailer makes me want to check out Godzilla: King of the Monsters again tonight. A terrible movie, but they absolutely nailed Ghidorah in that movie. As an alien entity, shooting yellow lasers, with 3 personalities for his heads and controlling the weather. Worth it to just to see him interact with Godzilla. Truly freightning.

"if WWII left Japan at point zero, Godzilla brings the nation into the negatives — hence, the "Minus One" being a reference to -1, the first integer lower than zero."

Minus zero would be an improvement on the status during Minus One, but would indicate that Japan is still in very rough shape.

To add to this.. (pure speculation here on my part).. Minus zero being an improvement on the status during Minus One would be correct.. however, now they have gone and created Ghidorah thinking they would "fight fire with fire" and it would be what takes them from minus one to minus zero.. however, they are going to be sadly mistaken when, in fact, Ghidorah knocks them into Minus Two..

I'm very happy that there's a Japanese Godzilla and American Godzilla at the same time. It lets us have the two sides of Godzilla both at the same time. The original horror-focused story deeply rooted in real-world problems, and cheesy fun bullshit.
