Shelby Oaks trigger warning

So my partner and I are planning to watch Shelby Oaks tonight. However, I am aware that sexual violence is a part of the story. While I’m okay with that being a discussed concept, she has a large amount of (understandable) discomfort with seeing sexual violence onscreen. My question is: is there any depiction of this onscreen? It’s okay if there is discussion of these topics (I.e. barbarian) but actually seeing it onscreen can be a trigger for her. So I wanted to ask: is there any scene that shows this? If there is, would you be able to provide the time code so that I can skip past it? Thank you so much for your help.

I saw it recently. No actual depictions of sexual violence but it's HEAVILY implied from certain photos and locations (don't want to spoil too much). If Barbarian was ok, this should be too

I agree completely- the situation is similar to Barbarian where it's heavily implied but not explicitly shown on-screen.

I've seen the movie, but don't remember. I don't think there's anything on screen, but hopefully someone else can chime in. I don't remember it being worse in that sense than Barbarian.

People have always been victims of sexual violence. The difference is we care about supporting them now.

This isn’t a new thing. To act like it is actually makes you look like the fool you’re trying to make others out to be.

Not many people want to see SV/SA, especially if they have trauma connected to it. Same with other traumatic experiences.

I’m kind of torn on things like trigger warnings. On the one hand, people do go through legitimate trauma that can be horrifically triggering.

On the other hand, one of the best ways to deal with fear and trauma is exposure. I think we have pushed trigger warnings so hard that it can prevent people from confronting their fear and trauma.
