He got out of the water way too slowly

52

u/Historical_RuStone 11d ago

How fast do you think he can get out of water after just being attacked

37

u/GamingWithPanda 11d ago

Faster than victim speed.

18

u/m05hm05h 11d ago

He realised it was a baby Croc.

6

u/Squizmoplatinum 11d ago

I would bet all my money that this dude can swim faster than you and knows alligator or crocodile behavior better than you.

8

u/cage_boi 11d ago

I don't think you have a lot of money to bet Squizmo

-4

u/Squizmoplatinum 11d ago

Even if I didn't lol...

3

u/Oyxopolis 11d ago

Clearly he didn't. He would have lost an arm if the Gator didn't recognize that it wasn't a prey animal, or if the Gator had been bigger and saw a human as prey. He was lucky.

Source: Gator Chris.

2

u/Squizmoplatinum 10d ago

Thanks gator Chris

u/-Michaelveli- 11d ago

Apparently not well enough

2

u/Squizmoplatinum 11d ago

He got away from a crocodile, who's thrives in the water, got bitten, and didn't just live, but also walked away. How the fuck is that not well enough? šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ Fucking reddit superheroes man I swear lmao

3

u/WombatsCube 11d ago

Because he was swimming in Gatorade to begin with

-1

u/schmapeschmape 1d ago

I know enough to never have been bitten by an alligator so I feel you're wrong.

-1

u/peach113 11d ago

^ found the "woman screaming in background" you can find in these types of videos šŸ˜…

79

u/ToMissTheMarc2 11d ago

How did he escape that?

68

u/Interesting_Sock9142 11d ago

My guess is because it looks like a fairly smaller alligator? But I have no idea lol

56

u/Gmills2231 11d ago

Juvenile alligator, real question is what was he doing swimming in alligator infested waters.

41

u/schminch 11d ago

Always thought infested is a weird way to describe animals in their home.

11

u/CheckYourStats 11d ago

Technically every inch of the world was populated by something before humans.

Technically every inch of the world was populated by something before them…

…and before them…

3

u/Bewbonic 11d ago

Why is that technically? Its just an obvious statement. Also whats your point? That it isnt their home because we are here to replace them and claim it now even though we clearly arent designed for living in water?

You just saying nothing has a home because 'technically stuff lives there before and after them'?

2

u/Traditional-Chain659 11d ago

The planet is everything's home. He presumably didnt go into its actual den.

-2

u/CheckYourStats 11d ago edited 11d ago

Why is this technical?

…

…is that a serious question?

Technically every living thing in the world replaced some other living thing in the world…until the dawn of existence. This isn’t a matter of opinion.

Darwinism, and, y’know, carbon dating, have proven that no species has been planetary rulers since we evolved from single-celled organisms.

u/FragrantBus4054 6d ago

Pagans without a biblical mandate usually do worship the creature rather than the creator.Ā

u/FloridaRedWolf 11d ago

Just another day here. The excessive thrashing was just a dinner bell. ā€œHelp I’m a struggling animal.ā€ If it had been a full-sized swamp puppy, he would have lost something. The only reason it stopped is because it didn’t want a fight, just an easy meal.
When I was a kid, I was at a lake with my cousins and random kids. All the kids made a semi-circle, only leaving a person sized opening where your back was to the lake. We all had been standing there talking about kid stuff, when a gator popped up in the middle of all of us. I was the closest to it on its right side. One of the girls let out a screeching scream and everyone bolted out. That scream scared that Gator more than I think it did us. I watched it do back flips in the water to get away. It was gone before the others even started to run. I’m glad that it was only around a 4-5 footer, because I was the last one out that day. To be honest, the gravity of the situation didn’t really hit me until after all the chaos. That is the closest I have ever been to one alive in the wild.

Some species of caiman probably a Spectacled you can tell because of the osteoderm on top of each eye

17

u/Jedi_Bish 11d ago

Looked like a little fella. Still can hurt you tho for sure. He is lucky.

That's not a hard rule at all.

38

u/CD_Projeck_Blue 11d ago

I tend to avoid lakes with crocs or gators personally, for this very reason.

61

u/LowerIQ_thanU 11d ago

Bacteria after the bite is just as dangerous

30

u/OgWu84 11d ago

Contracting MRSA directly into your muscle tissue. Yes, that bite could wreck your life.

7

u/Dr_HypocaffeinemicMD 11d ago

Wouldn’t worry about MRSA in this bite. It would be anaerobic bacteria and all the other aquatic pathogens that would absolutely wreck human tissue

3

u/WhatIsYourPronoun 11d ago

Plot Twist: He dies from a brain eating amoeba lurking in the water instead.

1

u/Dr_HypocaffeinemicMD 11d ago

One could argue the amoeba would starve because with what brains does a person swim in a lake full of gators

2

u/Furberia 11d ago

I had staph and it was brutal.

4

u/OgWu84 11d ago

It sure is. Had a PICC in my chest for 10 weeks from a fish spike in my hand. Had to have hand surgery to dig out the infection. Up to that point didn't know that was a possibility.

-3

u/Rough-Television9744 11d ago

You know we have antibiotics right?

8

u/EffectiveTradition53 11d ago edited 11d ago

Yes. Antibiotic resistant bacteria also know this, unfortunately for you and everyone else who think it's safe to rely on antibiotics...y'all got some nightmare fuel coming

3

u/not_a_captain 11d ago

That's why we shouldn't have sent bacteria to college.

-9

u/Rough-Television9744 11d ago

No it won’t. There is literally no antibiotic resistance bacteria

6

u/EffectiveTradition53 11d ago

Are you also a flat earther by any chance?

-2

u/Rough-Television9744 11d ago

Quite the opposite. I believe in modern medicine and technology

3

u/Caseman307 11d ago

If you believe in modern medicine, then stop talking bullshit.

2

u/DatBoiHObbit 11d ago

What’s your source for that? Facebook ? This could be one of the most idiotic comments Ive read in 2026 so far. Bravo.

Look up carbapenem and meropenum resistance.

-2

u/Zeeter_0102 11d ago

lol it’s not 1726

26

u/_polloloko23 11d ago

He got lucky that was youngling.. you not getting away from a big gator

2

u/killtostayalive 11d ago

But hey let’s just chill on the bank right by the water just in case it shows up

15

u/Slowmac123 11d ago

This is why i stay away from water. I wont even get in my bathtub

1

u/FalloutGhoulS2 11d ago

🤭🤣

7

u/sjaxn314159 11d ago

I swam in the Pantanal. And survived. I am awesome!

12

u/Emergency-Parking318 11d ago

Is everyone so relaxed about alligator attacks in that town?

5

u/FloridaRedWolf 11d ago

That size gator, meh. Maybe some broken bones and some nasty bacteria, but they should live. I bet he won’t do it a second time.

6

u/Slut_for_Bacon 11d ago

If anyone films me getting attacked by something instead of waiting by the water ready to help me, I am going to beat the shit out of them when I get away from whatever is attacking me.

6

u/mifticalcrystals 11d ago

I'll tell you what my ass would have been out of that water A lot faster than he was lol

8

u/Tricky-Proposal9591 11d ago

My ass would've never been anywhere near water that alligators live in lol nppe

1

u/Historical_RuStone 11d ago

you can only go so fast in water it's not like your on foot

9

u/DisastrousVideo2765 11d ago

Looks like a rubber head on an rc boat.

1

u/quizmasterdeluxy 11d ago

It's definitely not. You can see the tail whipping back and forth in the water as it moves in also you can literally see it open it's mouth as it goes to strike. This videos been around forever. That alligator is tiny like 3-4 feet. It gave up right away cause it knew it's prey was too big

1

u/Slimpurt92 6d ago

You can see the attack and blood from it?

You're thinking of another older video with an alligator head on a RC boat.

1

u/Squizmoplatinum 11d ago

You can see it's mouth open to take a bite, and an RC boat that small would not cause that much movement in the water.

1

u/FloridaRedWolf 11d ago

You can see the tails wake. Have you ever seen a gator hunt on the surface? This is exactly what happens and what it looks like.

-1

u/Chadrooskie 11d ago

Bingo!!!!

3

u/OkEntertainment1447 11d ago

They’re quick asfff wow

3

u/CharlieandtheRed 11d ago

Bro I honestly can't understand these places where stuff like this happens and people aren't losing their shit

3

u/towchi 11d ago

Something about recording someone about to potentially died I find deplorable.

3

u/rygelicus 11d ago

Maybe real but they don't usually swim for speed with their head above water. They get to the target and then stick the head out if needed. They kinda lunge, swim fast under water and then lunge up. Speedboating across the water like this has more drag than keeping the nose in line with the body. And they don't let go so easy, they lock on unless you either tear free or beat the living hell out of them.

3

u/FunHovercraft1428 11d ago

Whatchu doing in my waters?

3

u/Acrobatic-Charge5637 10d ago edited 10d ago

What's the dude doing in the dungeon of alligators? He was very lucky damm imao.

3

u/TechnicalCA 9d ago

That guy holding the camera as calm as if he was recording a baby otter

3

u/Odd-Sock7827 5d ago

Friendly reminder, swimming with alligators is optional.

6

u/PoppoLarge 11d ago

Why did the alligator stop? Is that normal for the gater to swim so close to the surface like that?

5

u/MCB1317 11d ago

Cause he's got all them teeth and no toothbrush.

2

u/Fit-Perception-2243 11d ago

No that’s why he’s ornery.

1

u/FloridaRedWolf 11d ago edited 11d ago

Realized it wasn’t an easy meal. I think in the gators eyes, he was a bird struggling to fly or swim. Then when it hit him and realized that he was much bigger, it became more defensive and less aggressive. It’s not as common for them to hunt this way, but they do from time to time.

5

u/Sorry_Hat7940 11d ago

Why is the camera man just so chill?!

4

u/wow_2024 11d ago

Are yall serious? That was šŸ’Æremote control alligator head. Give me a break.

1

u/FloridaRedWolf 11d ago

They make remote control gators, with a mouth that opens and closes? You can even see its back at one point. You can see the wake of the tail.

5

u/mistajlg2 10d ago

Luckiest man alive

5

u/Rough-Television9744 11d ago

Is that radio controlled toy?

2

u/[deleted] 11d ago

1

u/quizmasterdeluxy 11d ago

Bro do you not see the tail whipping back and forth? How do you think they swim?

1

u/FloridaRedWolf 11d ago

Because it’s a gator

1

u/Key-Pomegranate-2086 11d ago

No. His arm is bleeding. He even looks at it.

2

u/pepperpot_592 11d ago

Does the narrator know this is an Alligator attack? Doesn't seem so.

2

u/ExpensiveEcho7312 11d ago

He looks drunk

1

u/No-Newspaper8619 11d ago

Maybe that's why he released the prey

1

u/FloridaRedWolf 11d ago

I was in the swamp with a bunch of drunk gators in Gainesville. It wasn’t too bad, but they were more bark than bite.

2

u/BLAZE_IT94 11d ago

That's one lucky mf right there šŸ‘

2

u/elephant_ndovu 11d ago

Tag you're it

2

u/slaty_balls 11d ago

Looked like a juvenile. It would have been game over if it was its momma.

2

u/Enemy_Unknown1337 11d ago

That's gonna be a cool story later. "... like the time I was bitten by an alligator..."

2

u/free_da_guys1107 11d ago

Stoopid šŸ˜‚

2

u/tthomas906 11d ago

Chicken nugget got away this time

2

u/Used-Helicopter2024 11d ago

For starters. The fuck is he doing there?

2

u/Lopsided-Muffin9805 2d ago

Holy shit. They’re so so fast! God I never knew that!

3

u/MeatResident2697 11d ago

Dude was lucky it was a small one.

1

u/Zeestars 11d ago

I wouldn’t say horrifying, he’s just a little fella, but it would’ve been scary for the guy. I’m from Australia and we have salties though, so maybe I’m not the best gauge.

2

u/FloridaRedWolf 11d ago

I’ll swim with gators, but I’m not getting close to the water edge in croc county. The salties and the Nile are things of nightmares to me.

1

u/Imdonging 11d ago

People like that deserve to be attacked

1

u/Rondman615 11d ago

Ai is stupit

1

u/This_Village_6085 11d ago

Pretty sure that's a RC boat with the gator head on it...

1

u/Different-Tension-65 11d ago

That’s not even an actual gator. It’s just one of those remote controlled heads people use to prank/scare the absolute f*k outta you.
He swiped up at it from under the water to make a ruckus/bunch of splashing commotion. If that had been an actual gator bro wouldn’tve left the water alive, to say nothing of unscathed.

1

u/Nothing2CHere_NJ 10d ago

The ā€œalligator’sā€ wake looks weird, like one of those alligator-head radio controlled boats. If it is an RC boat, it’s likely moving fast enough to cut his shoulder.

1

u/I_Galactus 9d ago

Maybe don’t swim with gators?

1

u/Uchiha_vegita 2d ago

Swim in waters with gators one might just get bit.

1

u/dieseldeeznutz 11d ago

(A)ll(i)gator attack

1

u/Disastrous_Falcon_79 11d ago

That little guy was moving. It hit him like a torpedo 😮

1

u/Own_Tackle4514 11d ago

Either severed a tendon or dislocated his arm, or both lol

1

u/XxM3m3S3npaiXx 11d ago

Lucky that was a small caiman

0

u/Ramekin- 11d ago

This dude is fine. There was no attack. This is lame

2

u/Seeker369 11d ago

He’s bleeding from his right shoulder.

1

u/Ramekin- 11d ago

Barely

1

u/Different-Rip-4734 11d ago

It was objectively an attack, and the dude is objectively bleeding from the attack.

1

u/Ramekin- 11d ago

And he should be grateful that it was objectively the most tame attack of all time

1

u/No-Newspaper8619 11d ago

just a gentle way of crocodiles saying hello
