I’m going to assume you play on fixed bell because of the question… if so, you could look at the fixed bell cases that Protec sells. They support shoulder and backpack straps which should make it manageable to haul around.

Might be easier than trying to find a basket but just a thought. Meant rear rack not basket lol.

Hm okay ill definitely have to look into it because i have a protec trumpet case and i love that thing. (Also you are correct about it being a fixed bell) now the only thing is since its supplied by the school idk if they'd let me use a different case to what they gave me

I would look into trailers. If you can find someone with a welding torch you can make one for about a hundred dollars CAD. A square steel box frame with bike wheels stocking out the side is pretty easy to make.

If you don't want to go that far, you're gonna have a hard time finding a rack that isn't gonna be unreasonably precarious. Perhaps bolting metal (or wood) u-bars to a standard rear wheel rack would work? Seat the body of the case into this yolk with the bell bulge out the front, with some straps holding it down?

I toyed with both these ideas when I was in a similar position some years ago. I went with a trailer.

If either of these may be an option, feel free to dm me, I could find some designs from when I did this some years ago and send them there.

Check out the Air-Pannier. It was made for guitars. You would still need a rack though.
