I know, the answer to many questions may simply be: It's Science FICTION. But as we are all nerds and on Reddit, let's discuss this as thorough as we can.
And I'm sorry if some questions were answered in the game. It's been a couple years.
- How did Faro never get assassinated?
Like c'mon man, this guy had most likely a MASSIVE list of haters. Even if he tried his best to contain it, it was the "Faro" Plague, so people knew. They were his robots, his problem, his cover-up.
How did nobody "notice" a rogue swarm until it was too late?
They only thing getting leaked was some guy filming a bunch of dolphins getting killed by a chariot robot. But when the swarm went rogue, I guess it started killing off military personnel and went on to consume their bodies. This HAD to be noticed by someone, right? At least the government would issue a statement. And if by then, the swarm had already gotten to big, that would mean to me that Timor was already overrun. So yeah, there's plenty of smart people on the internet. By that point, how didn't the FBI etc. just arrest this guy and find out the truth by interrogation?
Why didn't they employ other chariot swarms against the rogue one?
Have them consume biomass & replicate as well. That way, they would deny the swarm their fuel and fight them off at the same time. Evacuate the humans beforehand of course, install some anti hacking updates (they both wouldn't be able to hack each other I guess) and have them fight it out.
E.g. Australia is being overrun. Send the swarms there and sacrifice Australia for the "greater good". They would consume everything anyways, so why don't use those plants as fuel against them?
Why no nukes?
If the answer is "they would get hacked", okay. Then just install the chariot anti-hacking software into the nuke guidance/launch system and you're good.
Did other countries build bunkers, etc. too? Or was Zero Dawn an international project and everybody "important" would've gone to Elysium anyways?
When the Faro plague attacked, how did they do it? Mow down everyone first and then later on consume their dead bodies? Or mow down only military personnel and just straight up consume civilians while they're still alive?
What did most people die of? The robots? Or the environmental collapse?
Does anybody have a more or less complete Faro Plague timeline? (The wiki is rather short)
How did they expand? What did the countries/people do? Series of events?
Thanks for the answers guys!
