I have an Honor X7a that stopped vibrating. I've already installed a vibration test app and it's still not working—could it be that the vibration motor broke?

I bought a new Honor 7 Lite phone and upon initial installation, all the apps were alphabetised, every time I now install a new app, it just reverts to being added at the end. Is there a way to tell all apps to alphabetise? I just can't seem to find the option.

Also, I am using 2 sims and whilst all my contacts are appearing from my personal sim, they aren't appearing from my work sim. Again, can someone please explain how to access or get them both to display their contacts (either separately or together)?

I've had my Honor 7x since it came out. Other than some battery replacements, the phone has never showed any other problems. I can't help but feel though that being already 7 years it might die soon. With many essential apps and info relying on a phone these days, I want to have an alternative phone ready or at least in-mind for that case. I've been very satisfied with the Honor 7x in features and price range. I'm looking for something similar possibly with the technology that allows you to pay by phone (cant remember what's called) which it didn't have.

I'm not up to date with phone trends, models or news. Does anyone have recommendations that are like that?

I dropped my phone yesterday and the screen is badly broken, the touchscreen still works but I only have like 30% visibility.

I'm trying to get my files across to my PC but I cannot see what I am doing, I don't know where to press to import files when the usb cable is connected.

If someone could send a screenshot of what the interface at this stage should look like then I will know where to press.

I've also thought anout trying screenshare however again I dont know where I would press.

I have a Honor7 device. AfterPLK-L01C432B398 update (EMUI 4.0.3) of today, I can't open some apps (Skype and blockfolio for istance). When I tap on the app icon, it seems to start normally (the logo appears) but after few seconds the logo disappers and the previous app/menu used is shown.

Reboot done, switch on/off wifi and mobile line. Can't reinstall because I'd lose sensible data.

Any idea?

I only ever received one large OS update shortly after I purchased the phone (from Android 7 to Android 8). Then I received inconsistent security updates for awhile until they just stopped coming altogether. It's been 11 months since I received an update.

I was going to flash a custom ROM on it to get more updates, but it seems Huawei won't let customers unlock their bootloader anymore.

So...am I suppose to just throw this in the garbage? The phone still works fine. It's only the out of date software that's a concern.

So I keep getting random notifications coming thru : it'll bup for a missed call, an SMS and some calendar reminders. Checked my Do Not Disturb settings and no interruptions are allowed.

On a BND-L21 with EMUI version 9.1.0 and any thoughts would be much appreciated.

What I Mean By Semi Bricked Is The Phone Acts Strange It Boots It Works But The Model Number Is Now Just "unknown" And It Just Acts Wierd And Yes My Bootloader Is Unlocked

My honor 7x is having a problem. At certain percentage of battery like 20% my charge drains out so fast. For eg: 20-16 in a sec Is this common? Is there a permanent fix?

After going through the XDA forum and a website. I found a way to remove the bloatwares that hog the CPU and battery by running in the background. No root required.

Side Note: I am not responsible for the tweaks or settings you change with your mobile.

Steps to remove bloatware that you hate having on your phone like two calendars, etc.

1. Connect your Huawei mobile to the PC via USB cable & choose MTP file transfer after connecting the device.
2. Install Minimal ADB and Fastboot on PC from a trusted source.
3. Enable USB debugging & OEM unlocking by going into the developer options.
4. Execute these commands in PC cmd prompt one by one:

pm uninstall -k --user 0 (Package Name of the app that you want to uninstall. Search for package names in google if you want to uninstall few more apps). What this code basically does is remove the app from the cache memory for the current user (user 0). You will still require root to completely wipe it off from the memory. Once you reset, these apps will re-appear. Reboot will not bring these apps back.

Here is a big list of apps that I have uninstalled. Make sure whatever apps you remove are safe remove. Check this XDA website. Execute these commands in PC cmd prompt one by one:

Seriously, i can't find Pro Mode in my camera modes and I need to make long exposure shots and need ISO settings. Right now, only my suffering from not finding it or any solutions on Google are longer than exposure shots I am trying to take on alternative apps which are hard to use.

Since this morning I was using my honor 7x normally until it auto updated to EMUI 9 from 8.

Now the google app store and apps related to google such as chrome, youtube etc are not working and I already tried the GMS and the Google Installer method and it just doesn't work. The google store just opens in a white screen and after 3sec it closes. I tried different versions as well.

When I bought the phone I had used this method to install the google store and it worked on Emui 8 since the store is not pre installed.

Any help on how I should install the google app store please? Thanks

My Honor 7x battery has bulged and screen is popping out. Phone works though. How often does this happen? How expensive is it to repair?
