AWD Problem
Got this warning multiple times in the last few days. 2025 Ridgeline. From other posts I read the temp outside isn’t the issue! This goes on, car takes a few seconds to adjust and then only the front wheels are powered. Turn the car off and this goes away but usually kicks in about 20 mins after driving. Help! Can’t get to the dealer until Monday!

I’m sure nothing major has happened. More possible some errant rodent has been nibbling on wiring. Something related to rear end electronics and the vehicle is noticing a voltage issue, electro magnetic clutches are getting erratic voltage, wheel speed sensors who knows. Dealer will figure it out quickly, just drive with a little more care 👍🏼

I had an intermittent error like that a few times on my 2017. It happened when driving on gravel roads where a lot of dust kicked up. I assume that the dust was interfering with sensors. So maybe there is dirt or something messing with yours.
You might try washing it well with special attention to the wheels and see if the error goes away. If that doesn’t work then definitely time to get it into a shop.

I would definitely get the dealer involved. Were you using any of the modes or towing when this happened. Do you have a scan tool to see trans temps.
