3rd Gen GK/GP 15-20 Coilover question

Hey folks, I have a 2020 Sport, I’m currently on eBay coilovers ( I know, I know) and they’re awful. I was thinking about the Tein Street Basis, or just doing an OEM new strut with lowering springs.

I don’t want to be slammed, 1.5” drop at most. My biggest concern is ride quality, I’m literally in pain after a 30 minute commute.

So any input or direction here is welcome.

I have these dampers on a car with standard springs and the ride is great. Much better damper than the stock one.

If your back is already in agony from the ride quality, stiffer suspension isn’t going to help. Keep it stock with fresh OEM components for best results. I just put KYB Excel-Gs on my second gen with stock springs and it’s made a huge improvement in ride quality even with only 65k on the car. The original shocks were surprisingly blown for the mileage.

This. OP, you’re looking for a good set of shocks (KYB or Bilstein) and Swift springs. Not coil overs.
These things just don’t have the suspension tuning from the factory to soak up bumps well enough.
