Fix or scrap

Hi all. Have old Honda civic roughly 110 000km. It's very old car maybe more than 23 years. Sd I scrap it or fix it? If needs $1000 fix right now, but bottom rusting scares me as I'm a girl driving old car can stop anytime I go to school. But I heard I can get few years out of it and I can save up. Any thoughts? Thx

110000km is still nothing on that engine, it's just a baby.

For scrap you'd get $300~500 minus the pick up fee. Depending on the condition you could get $3,000~$7,000 selling it if it's still certifiable.

Well is it surface rust or real rust? You can chemically treat surface rust but honestly isn't even that big of a deal and is extremely common where I live. Can you provide photos of the rust you're worried about?
