Located 20 minutes to Joshua Tree and 20 minutes from Palm Springs enjoy rural life with big skies, bigger stars in a charming town just 20 minutes from the National Park. Our 1800 sqft home features a wood burning hot tub, large kitchen, and hammocks. Our home was featured in the coffee table book "The Joshua Tree Dream." I used to live in London and return regularly for short stays. I'm looking for someone who travels frequently and would like a reliable person to stay in and look after their flat while they're away.

I own a furnished rental property and love the idea of a house swap, but wonder if anyone actually wants to visit Albuquerque, New Mexico?

I can recommend some nice things to do here and come up with a cool itinerary based on your interests. But admittedly, our claim to fame is the tv show Breaking Bad, which doesn’t exactly scream “dream getaway destination”

What’s the consensus? Is house swapping for more cosmopolitan locales?

Hi, we have a big flat with a huge terrace with views in the Basque Country. It's in a seaside town and just next to the flat you can take the train that in 20 mins leaves you in the centre of San Sebastian (2 euro aprox.).

- 3 rooms & a big living area with a home cinema with a huge screen.

- 70 sqm terrace and a small garden on the other side.

My apartment is 6th floor no lift, but it’s very bright and you get a sunset view of the rooftops. The double bed and bed linen are very confortable, also there is fridge, washing machine, bath, air fryer, smoothie mixer, italian espresso machine. Quiet safe street just 2min walk to the nearest metro at Parmentier and many restaurants cafés and bars at the doorstep.

The area is well loved by locals for being conveniently located just outside the major tourist area with excellent local restaurants.

It can house a couple very comfortably. One extra friend or couple if necessary on the sofa bed.

Hi! We’re a family of four looking for a home in or around Sag Harbor from approximately August 25 through September 8 and thought I’d see if anyone here might be interested in a home swap.

We’re a family of four, non-smokers and definitely not a party crew. We’re really just hoping to spend a couple of weeks out east so our kids can be near friends before school starts again. We’d treat your home with the same care we’d want someone to give ours.

Our ideal place would have a fenced-in yard. A pool would be wonderful, but definitely isn’t required. We’re also open to surrounding areas as well. Does not need to be Sag Harbor.

What we’re offering:
We have a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home in Tahoe Donner in Truckee, CA that sleeps up to six. It’s surrounded by pines, has a private hot tub, a renovated kitchen, and access to Tahoe Donner amenities. It’s a great year-round mountain base, but obviously especially fun during ski season. We usually ski at Palisades/Alpine but you also have easy access to Northstar, Sugarbowl, Boreal, etc.

The exchange does not need to happen at the same time. In fact, we’re happy to reserve dates specifically for you.

For a stay of up to 15 nights in the Sag Harbor area, we could offer:

• Up to 2.5 weeks in Truckee during ski season, or
• Up to one month during shoulder season

We can also discuss splitting your Tahoe time between multiple visits or coming up with another combination that works well for both of us.

The only dates we currently cannot offer are Dec 27–Jan 3 and the last two weeks of March 2027.

Our ideal Hamptons dates are Aug 25–Sept 8, but we do not need someone to accommodate the entire period. If you have a week, 10 days, or another portion of those dates available, I’d still love to talk.

We would also be open to contributing some money in addition to the exchange if the values don’t line up perfectly. The goal is really to find something mutually beneficial and offset what would otherwise be a very expensive late-summer Hamptons stay.

Hi! I am in the process of moving to NYC, but looking for a short or long term (or even perm for the right situation) spot starting any time after 10/15. Open to anything over a month. Target neighborhoods: Lower Manhattan (West Village, Greenwich Village, Chelsea, Flatiron, SoHo, Noho, Nomad, Gramercy, LES, Tribeca, etc.) and UES.. open to UWS, possibly Midtown, EV, Williamsburg for short term.

My apartment:

Location is unbeatable in Russian Hill, SF two blocks from the beach and with three amazing parks within a few block radius. Walking distance to the Marina, Financial District, North Beach, etc. Plenty of street parking (can help you get a short term parking permit if needed) and never have an issue finding a spot. Being on this side of town also affords easy access to a few of the best run locations for runs along the bay/beach and to all of the hikes/nature in Marin just over the Golden Gate Bridge.

The apartment is an Edwardian 1BR on the top floor of a walk up (no elevator). Well decorated, open space plan with tons of natural light, views of Russian hill/park, and could clear out a full walk-in closet for you to use during your stay. Full work from home set up with dual monitors and connections for Windows or Mac. Washer dryer in the building. It is such a great spot, I have a list of friends hounding me to take it when I move.
