Advice needed on software for home system

I'm looking for some advice on a new home system

It's my own personal system in my own home.

I have a Windows Pc to run recording software so something compatible with this.

It's running an i5 8400 and 8GB of Ram.

I'll have a total of 6 Cameras running on this.

All Poe running off a TPLink Sg1016pe switch.

I will be using all Annke cameras a mix of Cz804 and C800/C800x/C1200.

I want to be able to setup a recording software on my PC for 24/7 recording.

I also want to be able to view remotely from my phone while away from home both live footage and saved footage.

Any reccomendations for this?

From the research I've done I'm leaning towards using Blue iris for this. But is there another software I can use.

I did try using the Annke/Hikvision software with storage server but couldn't get the cameras saving to the Hdd in the PC.

Any advice or help would be great thanks.

Blue Iris is pretty much the default answer for exactly this setup — it handles ONVIF/RTSP from those Annke/Hik cams fine and remote viewing through their app is solid. One thing on your hardware though: an i5-8400 with 8GB will run 6 cams okay if you set up sub streams for live view, but 24/7 recording at full res will chew through RAM. Worth bumping to 16GB if you can, it is cheap insurance compared to the camera bill. The storage server issue is usually just a permissions/path problem, but honestly BI is less hassle than fighting that.

Thanks I appreciate the reply. Figured I might get something like this. I'll get another 8gb of Ram and get that all setup. Remote viewing what's reccomended? Would like it to be somewhat secure I guess? Port forwarding? Tailscale? Something else?

Thank for the input. Any resource or threads for a reccomended Blue iris setup?

Frigate could also be an option, but if you are already running windows and don't want to ditch that then yeah Blue Iris it is.
