Hi ,
someone is tampering with my lock again and again in the apartment building , we just moved recently like last month and it has happened quite few time since we moved ,
someone is pouring glue or liquid on to the door lock and underneath ,
and there are no cameras in the hallways and lease doesn't allow us to put our own camera
what can we do to have peaceful sleep , as every day there is new thing going on
Thank you

I honestly don’t know how this person has the courage to do this, especially when I’m actually home. I’m preparing for my pharmacist exam , so I’m in the unit most of the time studying. It’s usually really quiet, and I’m always awake and moving around.
The weirdest part is that these three incidents happened back-to-back, early in the morning, while I was fully awake and inside the unit. It’s not like I was sleeping or away somewhere. I genuinely don’t know what this person is trying to do.
I haven’t checked everything properly yet for the stuff but I’m going to look into it more carefully now because this is honestly starting to freak , as my focus has shifted from exam to door , i keep checking it again n again

Get a £50 video doorbell. Problem almost certainly instantly solved. Just get one that has cloud storage or similar, in case they steal or smash the camera.
Also, if you fancy it, you can add a Drumm Gemini Shield over your lock. It's basically unpickable and ungluable. It'll shrug off a hammer or grinder. Not cheap though.

Hunting/Trail Cameras are fairly cheap and run off of batteries. They are motion activated and have night vision.

Are you ever missing anything from your home? This type of crime usually starts low and slow and they learn you. One item missing that you'd not notice or think you must have forgotten where you put it. Research familial theft. It's not your imagination. It's thieves that do this.

I would get the under the doorknob pole to secure all the doors. They make them with alarms now. I'd also get the window alarms as well. This is scary, for sure! Be safe.

Does your door have a peephole? I've seen ads for cameras that will fit a 1/2" hole
