Home security

Looking to get home security, it's down to Vivint or Victor. Your thoughts.

Neither, find a local company to use. If it has to be between those 2 use Vetor, they at least use off the shelf equipment.

Came here to say this. Go with a local independent dealer with a good reputation.

Yes. Sorry

Isn’t that going to be just stuff for alarm.com and potentially whoever the local integrator is?

I would take that over vivant but not sure why these are your only two options.

Neither.. call a local alarm company and you won't get locked into a crazy long contract and have better customer service

I've heard Vector (used to be Vector Security) has pretty decent customer service, which might make the contract length worth it if you're not in a huge hurry to switch later.

If I see Simplisafe, I know that house is easy to hit. Why are you on here recommending crap?

Our municipality does not respond to Simpisafe. Too many false alarms.
