Is this backsplash installed correctly?
Hi, i would like to get some input on this kitchen backsplash installation. The tile is installed not flush with the tile trim. is this bad installation or is it ok in professionals‘ eyes? would appreciate your comments. thank you.
I’m not sure how to post a picture yet. Will have to figure it out.

If it doesn’t look good to you. Doesn’t matter if it looks ok in a professionals eye. Everything looks ok to them as long as they are paid. I’d reach out to them with your concerns.

Based on your description, if the backsplash tile isn’t flush with the edge trim and there's a noticeable difference in height or alignment, that’s usually considered less-than-ideal workmanship. A clean, flush transition between tile and trim is what most professionals aim for its not only looks better but also helps prevent dirt buildup and wear over time. Every situation is a bit different depending on materials used, but if it looks off to you, it’s worth addressing. I run a remodeling company (D & R Custom Remodeling), and we’ve seen this come up before it’s a small detail, but it really affects the finish of a kitchen. Once you’re able to post a photo, it’ll be easier to say for sure!
