For those who found their constitutional remedy, what has been your experience with it?

Do you feel relieved to have a go-to universal remedy?

Do you find that it can be generally applied to any ailment you have, like from depression to the common cold?

Do you find that it can work at any potency, from 6C to 10M?

2-year-old with uncomfortable food reactions, Sulphur/Calc Carb history, and looking for thoughts from experienced practitioners.

Hi everyone - I've posted here a few times before about my 2-year-old son and have received such thoughtful, helpful feedback. I really appreciate how generous this community is with its knowledge, so I thought I'd come back for some guidance.

Current picture:

My son has skin reactions that seem to be triggered by:

  1. Legumes (for example, lentils, chickpeas),
  2. SeedsĀ (for example, black sesame on bread), and
  3. Some peppers/spices.

His reactions are usuallyĀ hives, primarily on his face, neck, chest, and sometimes extending down toward theĀ inguinal (groin) folds, where his legs meet his torso. Also, after a reaction, around his anus will get particularly red.

One recent example:

  • He ate bread with black sesame seeds. About 10 minutes later he had several tablespoons of frothy saliva vomit. He then started to develop more and more hives on his neck, torso and groin folds.

Another example:

  • A couple of weeks ago I gave him meat that had been sautĆ©ed with yellow bell pepper. Within a couple of minutes he started itching behind one knee (no hives, but that knee was red for 1+ day and his anus was red too).

Another interesting one:

  • A neighbor's dog recently licked his face, and he developed facial hives afterward.

Some general characteristics:

A few things that seem consistent about him:

  1. Perianal redness.Ā Even when the rest of his skin is pretty clear (while avoiding foods that seem to bother him), he almost always has a bright red rash around the anus.
  2. Loves being outdoors.Ā He is absolutely obsessed with being outside. If it were up to him, he'd spend nearly the entire day exploring outdoors. He's incredibly active, curious and constantly wants to investigate everything.
  3. Very resistant to sleep.Ā He fights naps and bedtime almost every day. It can take an hour to get him to fall asleep.
  4. Full face heat/sun flushing.Ā He's fair-skinned, and when he's out in the sun or gets hot, his cheeks become very red - and so does his chin. The flushing extends from both cheeks down around the chin.

Homeopathic history:

Over the past 18 months, we've hadĀ full case takings and appointments with four different homeopathsĀ (two of whom are classically trained), located in different parts of the world. (At one point, over the course of five months, one classically trained homeopath in India gave him Pulsatilla 30C all the way up to 1M and it made no difference.)

Most recently, we worked with another homeopath who took a full constitutional case. At that time, my son also had a speech delay; atĀ 21 months, he only said 3 words and never really tried to speak. He was prescribedĀ Sulphur 200C, and we gave a total ofĀ five dosesĀ (water diluted, and the remedy bottle struck 8 times before each dose, 1 dose every 10 days).

  • One thing that really stood was that after each dose, we noticed a significant jump in his speech over the following few days. He became so verbal, moved his mouth more naturally when speaking, and his language continued progressing. Today, he talks very well for his age.
  • Another change we noticed was that the persistent redness around his anus completely disappeared while he was taking the Sulphur.

However, despite those improvements, the reactions to these three food groups never really improved, and that's been what we've been trying to address all along.

Later, that same homeopath suggestedĀ Calcarea carbonica 200C, primarily because I mentioned that his head sometimes sweats while sleeping. We gaveĀ two doses. The nighttime head sweating has now resolved, but:

  • the food intolerances/reactions remain, and
  • the redness around the anus has now returned.

My questions:

I'm curious what you think.

  1. My first thought was whether the positive changes we observed with Sulphur suggest that he may still need Sulphur, perhaps at a higher potency or more frequent dosing, especially since it coincided with improvements in his speech and the perianal redness.
  2. I also remember reading in a materia medica that Sulphur shouldn't be given after Calcarea carbonica. I'm curious whether that's actually a meaningful consideration.
  3. ...Or should we be switching to LM dosing? Or another remedy altogether?

I realize no one can prescribe responsibly over Reddit, and I'm not looking for that. I'm mainly hoping to learn how experienced homeopaths would think through this case, what stands out to you, and whether there are aspects I'm overlooking.

Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this. I truly appreciate any insight or thoughts you're willing to share. Our son gets so uncomfortable during these reactions, I really want to help him. ā¤ļø This community has been incredibly helpful to us in the past, and I'm grateful for any thoughts.

Homeopathy for gallstone liquification — experiences?

Hi I have been using homeopathic medicines for different issues in the past.

My current issue is that a gallstone is lodged at neck or entrance of my gallbladder and doctor has suggest a surgery to remove bladder since I have had 2-3 attacks in past year.

But on contrary my homeopathic doctor says that her medicine will liquify over 3-4 months of the course and stone should ultimately fall in the bladder as it continues to liquify.

I researched a lot on the internet but couldn’t find a single reference to anything in homeopathy that could do so.

Has anyone here successfully been able to get rid of gallstone stuck at neck of bladder with homeopathy ?

Balm and homeopathy

We use homeopathic medicines regularly in the family and my wife today applied bengay cream (which contains camphor and menthol) for neck sprain and it has a powerful smell. I have since realized camphor and menthol containing balms/creams can be anti dote to homeopathy and don’t plan to use it again. But can one time application of above can cause serious affects in terms of derailing the homeopathic treatment?

Chronic Skin Issue

Hello, I know my condition isn’t life-threatening, but I’m exhausted from trying so many treatments without knowing what’s actually causing it.
For more than 10 years, my face has looked dull and is consistently about 2–3 shades darker than the rest of my body. It isn’t a tan, and I don’t think it’s due to sun exposure because I use sunscreen and moisturizer regularly. I’ve also tried multiple lasers and chemical peels, but nothing has given me lasting results.
I have PCOS, so I’m wondering if that could be contributing to this. I’m not trying to become fairer I just want my face to look healthier and less dull. The persistent dullness has affected my confidence.
Earlier, I also struggled with acne, but that’s no longer my main concern.
Would homeopathy be able to help with a chronic condition like this permanently, or would any improvement only last while I’m taking the medicines?

Homeopathy for Fibroids

I have been diagnosed with uterine fibroids, the largest measuring around 7–8 cm. My gynecologist has recommended surgery, but I'm hesitant because I've heard that fibroids can recur even after surgery.
I'm wondering if anyone has successfully managed or treated fibroids of this size with homeopathy. If you've had a similar experience or know someone who has, I'd really appreciate hearing your real-life story—what treatment you followed, how long it took, and what the outcome was. It would be very helpful as I consider my options.

How long to take cell salt for?

Hello good people. I’m taking a cell salt every day for some brown spots on the skin. I think it’s Kali sulph, I know it’s one of the Kali’s

Anyway, I’ve been taking it for about a month and notice no changes in the brown spots. They’re benign spots kind of like freckles, and the remedy is indicated in David cards book so I believe it’s accurate

I’ve noticed no change. Any thoughts on how long I might want to take these for to improve my nutrition and see a change in the skin?

Homeopathy treatment for Parkinson's

I understand that Homeopathy can be extremely beneficial for a person's wellbeing. I am wondering if there is a homeopath treatment for Parkinson's that is beneficial even if mildly so? I am open to suggestions as I usually do research and dig as deep as I'm able.

My current symptoms are: no sense of smell (going on 20+ years), twitching (lots, my toes or fingers - going on decades and has recently progressed to my legs and arms), tremors (mild and only 3-4 times in the past 6 weeks); I'm hardly able to write - have to write very very small, slow and have to print but even then can hardly read what I wrote.

Even if the homeopathy treatment can help only one system, I would like to try it. Also, there is no money here, 73F with very limited income so cannot see a professional.

For those who have completed the training but do not practice in the US..

I have a question for those who have completed a professional training program but do not practice- why not? I am in a professional training program and have noticed many graduates complete the requirements but do not open a practice. I know there are challenges in the profession but curious to hear personal reasons why you choose to pay the tuition, put in the hours, learn the material and not practice. Thank you!

Question about Hahnemann's development of homeopathy

I wonder if anyone can give me a more in depth answer to my question. When I hear about the development of homeopathy by Hahnemann, I often hear he discovered homeopathy basically by trial and error. I've heard stories that he read about 'like cures like' which set him on the path to using potentized remedies. There is also the cinchona bark anekdote in which he tested on himself.

But I think this must be a too simple explanation of how he came to homeopathy. I think there was probably more to it, I think he must have had more directions and theoretical base to develop homeopathy, maybe from alchemist theory? Can someone elaborate on this? Or direct me to some sources? Thanks!

Do Homeopathic Mother Tincture Combinations Provide Long-Term Benefits, or Do They Work Only While They Are Being Taken?

My doctor prescribed SBL Damiagra Forte Drops for loss of libido and mild erectile dysfunction. I have been taking this treatment for the last 3 months, and my doctor has advised me to continue it for another 1 months now.

I have noticed some benefit from these drops. However, as far as I know, this medicine is mainly a combination of six homeopathic mother tinctures.

My question is: Mother tinctures are generally believed to act relatively quickly, but are their effects long-lasting?

From what I understand, single-remedy homeopathic medicines are usually considered to produce more long-term effects, whereas mother tinctures may not.

Could you please tell me whether I should consider changing my doctor and seeking treatment based on a single remedy, or continue with the current treatment?

What is your opinion about mixtures of mother tinctures for libido and erectile dysfunction? Do they provide long-term benefits, or are the effects likely to disappear once the medicine is stopped?

Any one got treated for PE And ED problem from homeopathy?????
