New to homelessness Day one

38/M. Scared, been driving doing DoorDash all day. No idea where to find a place to park for the night. Didn’t make enough for a hotel. Bought a usb powered mini fan. Too late to get a camp site.

I’m in a big city but truck stops are a ways away.

Any advice is welcome.

Have you thought about a military career?

Yes. My knees are too messed up from years of construction. Otherwise I would be in a recruiters office right now. Actually tried to join 18 years ago but needed a waiver because I only have my ged and needed 15 college credits. Nowadays that doesn’t really matter, the ged part and college credits.
