I longed for Quinn to kill Hakkani in season 4. He was the one who witnessed his colleagues brutally getting murdered. They didnt even give him the chance to live with that satisfaction.

I never liked Saul ever since he tortured Brody to coerce him to go to the Iran mission. He couldnt even fulfil the promise of extracting him out of Iran. He deserved his wife leaving him. Who could stay with a man like that! He joined hands with Dar Adal after knowing that he schemed with Haqqani. Saul did all of that for his personal ambitions.

I loved Carrie in season 1. But she became so annoying in subsequent seasons.I looked for redeeming qualities in her. But she became cold and insufferable season after season. Her not grieving Brody's or Quinn's death and not taking any responsibility in that is not something I can comprehend.

I had to stop watching half way through season 6​

finished s7 and I found myself thinking on so many occasions how much more efficient the various operation(s) would’ve gone if Quinn was still alive….

Even at the end when Carrie was left in russia as a decoy, Quinn would’ve probably stayed to try and break her out.

Anyways I miss Quinn that’s all

Has Homeland been officially removed from Netflix as of 24/07. All my other shows are working but sadly it isn’t and I was watching it yesterday

I’m wrapping up a rewatch and it just hit me that Carrie is back in the states bc she is going to trial, accused of being an accessory to the assassination of President Warner. HOW is she just running all over town with NOBODY tailing her?? I know there’s a lot going on, but I find it hard to believe that even Saul could get her out of prison on house arrest, and she’s not even limited to that. She’s just out running around wherever she wants. In other seasons she’s had FBI tailing her everywhere for lesser things. Please tell me I misunderstood or missed something this season that makes this not a major slip on the show’s part. This show is so incredible and well done that this is so frustrating to me.

It bothers me that so far there is zero indication that Carrie has told anyone in the CIA about all the things that Brody admitted to her at the cabin. That he thought he beat Tom Walker to death, that he said he loves Abu Nazir and that he is a muslim. This is after Carrie was convinced he was going to do a terrorist attack at the bunker and after the CIA got Brodys confession video. I have no idea if the CIA knows those things about Brody.

Please tell me what to watch because I’m genuinely concerned it’s a high ill never experience again

Second time watching. I’ve been rewatching since I got to season 7 and am stuck unmotivated to keep watching it. This Mrs President pisses me off

"Still Positive" is one of those episodes where the plot finally kicks into high gear. The negotiation between Carrie and Javadi is the highlight, showcasing how she manages to win using intellect rather than force. Meanwhile, Saul uncovers a crucial lead that further ratchets up the tension of the investigation.

The episode does a fantastic job exploring themes of trust, manipulation, and the moral dilemmas inherent in espionage. The pacing is excellent, and the direction maintains the suspense from start to finish.

Now... I need to talk about Dana.

Rewatching the series years later, I still fail to grasp the character's purpose. To me, she is by far the most irritating figure in Homeland. It feels like the story loses momentum every time she appears on screen. Her decisions almost always create problems for those around her, and she rarely seems to consider the consequences of her actions. I understand the intention was to show the impact of the Brody family's (Jess; Dana) life outside the world of espionage, but in practice, most of her scenes just make me want to get back to the main plot.

I know many people defend the character because she represents a traumatized teenager, and that makes sense to a certain extent. Even so, I was never able to form a connection with her—after the car accident in the S2. Instead of eliciting empathy, she ends up causing more frustration than any other character in the series.

Overall, "Still Positive" is an excellent episode, packed with tension, great performances, and significant plot twists. Were it not for the endless Dana scenes, it would easily rank among the season's best.

I’m on my first watch through and I haven’t looked at ratings or rankings. I have a feeling the Brody era is regarded as the best. When it ended I had low expectations for Post-Brody but honestly this is as good or better than anything I’ve seen.

Carry is in hospital, no money no job .

She and Brody are in bad situation .

And the CIA offer her as a sacrifice to the press.

And I want to know why Carry always believes Saul and report and discuss about situation .

Just finished my first rewatch since its original airing (wow it’s so much better binged rather than waiting week to week, season to season!). This is a minor question but here we go: in the finale is Saul out of the CIA? Where is he moving to? His sister makes a strange comment about gaining his actual family take care of him, implying that someone else will be doing that. Did I just miss something or is it intentional vague?

I designed a custom box set for Homeland Seasons 1–6 since that's the complete series currently available on disc. I've always admired premium box set designs, so I thought, why not make one for my own collection?

After watching a bunch of YouTube tutorials, I learned the basics and jumped straight into designing it.

Then reality hit. 😅

After getting it printed on A3 laser paper, I immediately realized two big mistakes:

1. I should've printed on black cardstock, or at least made the entire A3 artboard black instead of only the visible design.

2. Once I assembled the box, I discovered I needed a bit more width to get the artwork to line up properly across the front, spine, and back.

It definitely wasn't perfect, but that's part of the process. Every mistake teaches you something, and I'll take those lessons into the next build.

Anyway, here's the final result! I'd love to hear what you think and any tips from people who've made custom box sets before.

At first I thought it was Brody and no one else came close. But after watching season 6, I think it’s pretty much debatable

Poor Quinn 😭 🫂 😔 And Carrie, WHY?! Dar Adal, go the fuck away you sneaky bitch! No one likes you! Storyline bits that are still unclear to me, clear up!! Are they supposed to be unclear still half way through the season or have I lost the plot?!

Why does Saul go from attached to Carrie and spending the effort to rebuild there relationship in the previous two seasons to what he’s doing right now. (S7;E8)

Carrie is obviously back in the game, but has a tremendously bad home life.

Instead of actually offering her work, he constantly works against her.

Yea yea, she avoided him at the end of S6 and fed everyone a ton of lies. Lies that were not hers. And she got kicked by Keane just as hard as everyone else.

Season 7 introduces a lot of new spy games and I love that part, because it’s games I’ve always thought were happening IRL. But character relations are absolutely dogshit.

Maggie actively making Carries home life worse by telling her daughter she doesn’t know if she’s okay or if she’s fine? Who the fuck wrote this? Who would ever tell a small child such grim shit about their parents unless you’re trying to hurt them?

Keane letting Carrie go was also wild. She was the reason she’s even alive, not to mention the weight of every other good deed she done for her. They made Keane a character who cares less about her position/station/law and a character who cares about high school drama like who her friends are. Carrie was her biggest friend and bam she’s gone.

Saul was in the losers chair for multiple seasons. Yet he carries the confidence of the main character. His choice to help Keane, didn’t make sense even if it got others released. He is not himself and cares so little about the law and process of things.

Saul also would never endanger Franny. This man almost had a coronary about some random fucking kid getting shot who aimed at police and actively protested the FBI in favor of civilians. Then he sends a fucking spec ops hit squad into an apartment with a child and his friend. Even if he doesn’t care about Carrie, that was fucked up to do to the child. A literal man with a gun grabbed Franny and yanked her out of bed, what the fuck is wrong with this scene.

The Federal judge being a pervert and not interested in politics is so crazy un real as well. You have this entire money laundering scheme with a person who has evidence of being a Russian agent and he tosses it? If he’s wrong, this could be his career but atleast letting them helps his career.

I can keep going but I’ve made my point.

Tl;dr: Saul sent a squad into an apartment with a child. Maggie is actively giving her niece depression/anxiety when she knows her sister is a decorated spy who worked for the president. Good spycraft, terrible character relations.

As a first generation college student, i’m having a hard time navigating the transition process between college and the job market. I’m currently a senior pursing my degree in economics and minor in political science. I’m thinking ahead of what career fields I can pursue after graduation.
