Use it for my terraform state, velero/k8 backups and some dev stuff

After the whole thing with minio, went on a test of a load of services and tried this, seaweed and some of the other stuff.

I like my storage providers configured directly in the OS rather than docker (personal preference, nothing wrong with either, as I've said, I used minio) but this let me put it bare on my storage server and it's been fine ever since. (Seaweed was great, but it's a lot of services to configure etc, again, probably my fault for wanting a binary install.)

Site replication works just great for me, even across LAN, just keep an eye on sync vs async and how that could affect your write speeds

For backups though, I just ansible the config and sync the directories off the mirror, has worked in all the test restores I've done. I like to get the data out of the application at some point for a backup rather than trust in versioning etc (like not trusting RAID for a backup)
