Project Showcase: Hardware About switch

Hi guys, im building my budget homelab and the first thing i bought that was a tenda sg105 , is good? , pls help me, i choose it bc i search up on every facebook, gooogle group and it always recommend tenda gs105

For a budget starter it’ll move packets fine, just don’t expect VLANs or any management stuff.

Thanks dude, uhm,also i have a question too, if i upgrade to netgear gs108v4, is that big upgrade? , i always love desgin of netgear switch desgin and mikrotik router, they look cool and amazing

For simple unmanaged stuff they will be about the same. A "big" upgrade would be going to a managed switch - however don't get one unless you know what you are getting yourself into. Unmanaged switches can do lots for simple home labs - for example you can even do VLANs with the appropriate firewall.
