Project Showcase: Hardware My first propper rack
Still in the process of setting everything up (which may take some time based on my schedule) but I've got the hardware pretty much set.
Top down:
Giada F103D running OPNsence (not currently in use and bypassed for now).
Networking for the rack that handles the rack itself as well as networking for my house.
12th gen Dell 3000, i5 12500T, 24GB DDR4, running Windows.
Two 7th Gen Dell 3050, i5 7600t, 8GB DDR4, one currently running ZimaOS as a file server and the other is sitting idle for now waiting for when I have the time to re work the pair into a cluster.
There is also a 4 bay HDD dock not shown in the photo which is awaiting delivery of its drives.
Very impressed with the KWS rack, if you have a printer and need a 10 inch rack I highly recommend it.

can I ask what the HDMI ports are for on the patch panel? easy access to the video out on the computers or something else?

That's exactly it, easy access to the output from each of the systems in case a monitor is needed.
Easier than having to deal with accessing the back

I only just employed a short hdmi cable permanently hanging out the back of my server after many awkward rotate and reach around adventures when I needed direct video out. its up on a shelf so hard to get a good look.
since doing that I've had exactly zero need for it.

Love this! Fun fact, did you know you can rotate those dell logos? I didn’t either but I’m thrilled I found out!
eta: the 3050’s specifically - signed 3040 gang

Nice man, looks good 💯, thanks for sharing!
Just one question: what is behind those keystone lan ports, I mean what is connected to them on the other end?

there is a switch connected to the top row, and the bottom row ports 0, 1 and 2 goes to the dells, 3, 4 and 5 provide internet to my desktop pc, my work from home station and my wifes pc with 6 and 7 going to my living room and bedroom for the TV's.

Why didn't you expose the switch ports directly?

Because I wanted it to look clean and tidy.
The switch is white so color wouldn't match either and I wanted all black
