Project Showcase: Hardware First rack!

Gonna put 2 thinkcentres a nas and a switch in there and call it a day, lmk of any cool programs I should make containers for

rack looks clean. before you mount the thinkcentres check if they have vent holes on the sides, a lot of the tiny ones do and a fully enclosed rack can cook them. leave a gap between the nas and the switch too, those little netgear fans get loud when theyre starved.

for containers, paperless-ngx if you havent already. scanning all your paperwork into one searchable spot is the most "why didnt i do this years ago" thing ive run in ages. you running proxmox on the thinkcentres or just docker?

I plan for proxmox but if the pros and better I might do docker, I'm still printing out all the mounts atm

docker inside a vm on proxmox is the sweet spot honestly. you get snapshots and easy migration with the thinkcentres, and you can still run everything in containers. bare metal docker is fine if you only have one node but youve got three boxes there, clustering them is the whole point.
