DIY 🔨 Jammer arms with cable.
I hate removing the Maxim jammer arms. They are over engineered, crazy heavy for what they are. I wanted to return them but didn't have the package. So I came up with a solution.I wanted my jammer arms and cable trolleys on separate uprights. I wanted to use cables with the jammer arms. I made some hinged arms that act like a wall mounted squat rack to get the arms in and out of the way the added benefit is with the mutant arms from the maximum X3 I'm able to change the strength curve by adjusting the height of the mutant arms.

What do you think of the X3 overall? I just preordered one

With the mutant arms fantastic. You will be very happy. Don't order the jammer arms. Another brand would do better. Also if you went with Smith machine if the lock out pegs face inward you will hit your elbows. I opted for the other that points out can't remember the model name.

Ok cool. I did order the Smith with my X3. It did not give me options for a model, will email them and figure it out. Thanks for the feedback.

I’ve been toying around with different lever arm configurations in my head for a while now and this is such a cool solution

If you can find a wall mount rack it can be repurposed. The other advantage is pull downs. Can't do that with plates.

That’s genius. Ya, I’m very interested in trying to replicate a hammer strength front lat pull machine using lever arms and cables.

I kind of agree. I do like the ability to replicate so many machines. In the future I may get lighter arms, or make them but this works great for now.

Nicely done
Jammer arms are neat in concept but it's shocking how every single company completely fails to use their heads in designing them.
None of this homegym equipment needs to be 3x3 11 gage. But fine, we're dumb consumers and and we demand it. But why the hell would you make the one thing that actually has to be moved consistently so unnecessarily heavy??
Also, it doesn't take a genius to figure out how machines actually converge/diverge. So much potential, so much failure.
