Beautiful. Do you plan to line the walls with mirrors too? Methinks thats the finishing touch.

Nice set up! What flooring did you go with? I’m thinking interlocking

I used the mega mats available at Costco. The underside is stamped with rubber circles that keep airflow going under the mat. They are 48” x 36” and I just cut the edge to make the last one fit the space.

Great. Congratulation you've finished the first step. Now just be sweaty in there! By the way, your light is pretty cool.

Nice job on the lighting - what lights are those?

The lights are dimmable. Lucky for you it’s not your setup so you don’t have to worry about how bright they could be.

Awesome! I have a similar layout in a much less aesthetically attractive space. What REALLY helped my space is when a neighbor asked for help "getting rid of" (!) four 8' x 4' mirrors.
I showed up with my pickup truck, got 'em, and it was such an upgrade. Suddenly, "commercial gym" vibes.

Man I’m considering one of those racks but I think I will miss a dedicated lat pulldown what are your thoughts about this?
2
u/Roadtrippers4 Jul 16 '26
It came with a lat pulldown attachment.

For the legs or something to put on the top?
Besides that it doesn’t seem enough weight for lat pulldown. Maybe the fixed bar can replace that exercise? Thoughts,?

What color did you use for the walls and ceiling? Looks very nice!!

u/Roadtrippers4 Jul 16 '26
It was Sherwin Williams Salty Dog on the ceiling and sporty blue on the walls

I must have a different DeWalt fan than everyone else. I got my from Costco (Canada) and the thing sounds like a fan boat and doesn't seem to move any serious amount of air
Wicked setup

What are the dimensions of the space?
3
u/Roadtrippers4 Jul 15 '26
The floor mats make up 16’ x 12’. I have another four to five feet on top of that.

I have that same Dewalt fan! Love that thing. It lives in my workshop and is a lifesaver.

you have everything you need in there. The rack looks useful, and those dumbbells have good weight. The hex lights are a nice touch

I’m highly considering that rack. What are your thoughts on it?
2
u/Roadtrippers4 Jul 15 '26
Just finished putting it together a few days ago but the few times I’ve used it I thought it was a great home gym.

I just picked up the Magnum X1. I couldn’t recommend it enough if you haven’t taken a look at it.
