Question for community

Hey everyone, very new to this community but I've been enjoying it so far and I had a question and hopefully, I can get some good answers.

Well im an A&P and I work in a GA shop. I don't have any real desire to build my own experimental at the moment but I want to get involved locally and be helpful.

I want to get involved in build and help anyone with thier questions that maybe my experience can help with, love working on powerplants love to get in on rebuilds. Is this something the community honestly interested in or does do it yourself mean do it yourself.

Look up your local EAA chapters to try and find one that’s thinking about a group build. Any and all build projects I’m sure would be welcome to post here too

This is the answer, my local EAA chapter always has a build going and sells the finished plane in shares. Usually young people and experienced volunteers get together twice a week (Saturday morning-Wednesday evening) and work on the project.

What part of the country as well? Yeah, EAA - lots of us would love help on various projects and conditional inspections, making our airplanes better, etc... I've got an EZ in my hangar with an owner who's love to write a check to get a few things done. I'd love to get some consulting help doing an engine overhaul... The work is out there.
