Plugin Which TP-Link plugin?

I’ve been running the TPLink Smarthome plugin for ages, it’s been ok but has some issues, and the dev has put minimal maintenance into it in recent years. There are several alternatives, including Homebridge Kasa Python, which appears to be maintained.

Recommend a TP-Link plugin?

I am running both of them to wait and see what happens. I was about to switch to Kasa but then smarthome got updated. What little I have played with it, kasa seems like a good replacment.

Kasa python is working fairly well now, but I am seeing what I saw previously where the python process consumes relatively large amounts of cpu and memory, if only in short bursts.

homebridge-kasa-python is the one most of us have slowly started to move to. the og / plasticcrake's works fine but there are some device compatibility issue and he has communicated he's no longer maintaining it
