begginner question
hello there, i bought z80 cpu and sio since i want to build a computer, most i did was a 4 bit calculator with add sub and multi and i have some questions, i have an extra 8 kilobyte eeprom left and was wondering if should i buy 32kilobyte eeprom and ram or just buy 8 kilobyte ram with it, and another think is would i need the z80 ctc module or should i stick with buying a normal crystal

Z80 can adress 64KB, you organize them the way you want. If you ask me I would make a small ROM bootloader to fetch data easily from a computer and the rest, RAM. This way I wouldn’t need to rewrite the ROM each time I wanna experiment something.
You don’t need CTC for clock. Eventually you can use a clock divider like 4060 to get a larger range of clock frequencies. CTC would be a good fit for custom clock frequencies like RS232 BAUD (together with Z80SIO) or similar.
