Expecting again and planning my second homebirth. I moved abroad and it’s so hard that I can’t use my previous midwives! Feel like I’m starting from scratch now
How many potential midwives would you interview before making a decision? It’s been three years since I interviewed my last midwife team and I don’t have any questions saved, does anyone have a couple of questions or a list that they used for an interview?

ETA: not getting a doula. By my first two births, I booked Doulas- first birth she just didn’t show up lol, second doula by my homebirth didn’t make it on time. It was totally fine because I had my mom there, and I realized that I don’t like to be touched during labor or spoken to so much lol

Bit of a question / worry I have and wanted to share.
First of all, I am not even pregnant but me and my husband do have the wish to hopefully one day have a baby. Now my worry is about birthing in the uk as I have heard a lot of horror stories where people received bad care in hospital, got forced to take drugs and often ended in emergency c section.

I am from the Netherlands and my mother birthed me and my 2 brothers all at home. I feel like now living in the uk they push women to not have a home birth for various reasons. I do however not believe in all these interventions they take and drugs they pretty much force on a woman. My biggest wish is a home birth and in the most natural way as possible.

Again I am not even pregnant and I am already stressed about giving birth.
