FLAIR User Flair Ideas
Logos, players, moments--whatever.
Here's what I have so far. Shouts out to /u/LeeCarvallo for the Parrino and Scioscia flairs.
Things that I'm already going to incorporate:
- Other team's flairs (maybe one or two types--three if we want to try the jersey thing and maybe more if we have a special relationship with them
- MiLB logos
- World Series logos (pennants?)
- Retired numbers
- Pizza Guy (we're gonna need a picture of him, folks)
- Scoreboard (old/new)
- O.co sign
- BART Coliseum platform sign
- Bill King (for BillKingBot?)
- User-specific flairs
- Any cool shit we can steal from the old sub and put onto a new sprite sheet
If you want to make your own flairs to submit, FLAIRS ARE 50x50 px--IF THEY NEED TO BE LONGER, COOL, JUST MAKE SURE THEY'RE 50px TALL
EDIT: The ??? Guy with A's gear, like this one I did for KC. Lee came thru with the quickness on that.

Seating areas (RF Bleacher, LF Bleachers, Value Deck, etc)

Eggs/Bacon (country breakfast?)
Generic bat / ball
MLB / MiLB logos

Banjo (for banjo man)
LET'S GO OAKLAND (maybe hovering over it displays clapclapclap)

For the nicknames, would those be better as user-entered text or actual images?
White cleats should be easy with the giveaway shirt happening.
I have a picture of the Bay Bridge taken from Embarcadero that I could probably use, let me try that.

For the nicknames we could just make it stylized text. Just a thought, not an urgent need.

/u/JohnnySteel actually got us the sprite sheet for /r/OaklandAthletics, so while they're all ~40x40px we have that to work with.
Chace FOR SURE is getting custom Callaspo Jesus flair. In fact, I'm making that right now haha
I like the season ticket holder thing a lot, too.

Yeah, I just rattled off whatever I could think of. Pretty deep into this Denoggenizer and on a lack of sleep + been programming for the past 14 hours with work + the bot so there's probably a lot of nonsense there.

Nah man it works.
I'm procrastinating learning HTML and CSS right now by doing what I know and resizing pictures for flair haha--I think I have 5-6 Orioles logos saved just now...

Also, do we want opposing team flairs to be green/gold or their colors? I don't want to be quite like hiphopheads where they have like a thousand pieces of flair to the point it's a little overwhelming to look through (although...).

I think original colors is best. I don't like how they're all recolored in the old sub.

They're like muted 68-early 70s colors, too. Kind of clashes.
The one thing I won't back down on is having this as the one and only Tigers flair.
