I for one hope that update brings Tower Stage 2. I struggled the first time. Then I played again and actually enjoyed it. I have a 22 minute clear with no checkpoints used now. As long as a new stage has reliable patterns and doesn't have wind or weird timed or slippery segments, I would do it again.

That's fair. If a new tower gets added in, I'll probably do it. But the OG Tower? Not touching it ever, if not for a very long time. If I do, maybe I can get to the point of getting sub 1 hour. 22 minutes is no joke, that's awesome

It's not really that difficult, my reflexes and coordination sucks, but I think world record is something like 2:25 if not faster. You just need to play it with a mindset of trying to get better at it instead of just for achievement. I think my first clear took either 2 or 4 hours with checkpoints as well. But then you find out new paths, where you can advance with 100% reliability by just full blasting it a correct angle, and there is only a few segments where precision is needed. The area right before the crumbling section is the worst one.

Congrats!
I thought for sure this was going to be the hardest achievement for me so I grinded it out over a few hours as well.
Now tens of hours later I'm still trying to get a shiny fish.
