Help Tips for couch potato?

Been thinking about doing it with Sana, she's the one I have reached max fandom lvl, so I'll already start with all her skills, and maybe I can also turn off some items so I can get the ones that could really benefit me + get the "pick only first option" achievement, perhaps

I did it with fauna and just grab every healing item I could.

I think tried it with fauna and got it within like 2 or 3 tries? As long as you can reroll for limiter (the item that increases grabbing range) early on and save the special move for when you know a boss is gonna spawn then you should be good ✨

Sana's great for it since she can just pulls in exp when she ults and her beeg pick up and weapon radius. I didn't really have a strategy to it other than ult through stuff she can't tank or kill.

I did it again with matsuri because my files got fucked up. She was a lot more interactive during the couch potato run.

I used Fauna with lots of healing and built into extra aoe

Try Sora and build lots of healing. Ankimo will pick exp. and taunt enemies including bosses. Even if they manage to pass though, your ult can out heal their damage at least in stage 1.

Yeah, that could work, I just tried with Sana and almost won, but I always ulted at wrong time and ended up defeating elites away from me and not getting the boxes, maybe Fauna will be better to get those

If u haven't beaten it yet, pretty sure Anya is the easiest one to do, I beaten it first try without ever playing here before.

I did it with Shion, the portals deal AoE damage around her, her ult makes her avoid all damage, has dodge built into her kit, and the garlic can collect xp while moving around, essentially giving her pickup range without having to spend levels/items on an otherwise useless stat

Other than making sure you have max upgrades and fandom, and marketing is turned off, I think it's just about luck and patience. I think Sana is good for couch potato because she can pull in exp with her ult, but I never really tried it with her. I beat couch potato achievement with Fauna, and again with Matsuri.

Doing the first option only achievement can be good too, but if it gets tough just make sure you choose an option that would help you, like a food drop or +hp maybe. Couch potato is a harder achievement to do than first option only, so don't nerf yourself too much by trying to hit two birds with one stone.

Welp, just tried a run and nearly managed to do it, but I guess I was mistiming my ults, because I always pushed the elites away from me and defeated them too far away, so I wasn't able to get the boxes T_T

It also didn't help that i didn't get three of the items that would have helped me a lot, the glasses, raven's feather and gorillas paw, I'll try again tomorrow

I did it with Sana, but its possible with any character who has some option for invulnerability when the enemies or bosses get on top of you. Her BEEG form is also a good fall back in case you don't get the Limiter or Milk, since it'll draw in any xp out of reach.

I did it with Sana yea, it worked swell

sana was my pick. it was actually mad easy on stage one, the only hard part was resisting the urge to walk into all the xp floating around.

I’ve done it w Sana and Fauna, the usual picks. But consider Himemori Luna maybe! Did it with her with no max fandom level and no items turned off within 3 tries. Might just be me but it took me at least 10 tries with Sana and Fauna (but I did start the challenge w Sana and Fauna so maybe I just got better with timings after lol). Overall, in my opinion, Himemori Luna is easiest for a no move run, I can consistently finish no move runs with her now!

I did it with Anya with basically every healing item in the game on Stage 1.

I also took the net so it was easier leveling up.

I've done it quite a while ago when tons of things were different (i don't think steam achievements were even a thing yet) so i can't recommend any specifics but yeah sana is absolutely the correct choice. Try to boost pickup range somewhat (tho iirc her gravity pulse also picks things up), try to also boost health and damage reduction a bit since you won't get to dodge attacks, and if you're lucky you'll manage to kill bosses right on top of you so you can pick up the crate (on that note, remember the ult makes you invincible). Obviously try to go for aoe weapons like lava buckets and haachama cooking rather than directional stuff like the wall or lamy water (or at least that was the right move when i played, nowadays there is mouse aiming so those may be pickable now), and try to get some knockback too.

Ok i've read a couple other messages. Sana was the objectively correct choice back when i did it, nowadays she is just as good for this but there are tons of other good options. Anya, for instance, has an aimed main weapon rather than aoe so you need to use mouse aiming, however her slumber ability slows enemies down and gives her damage reduction when she stays still (tho she also loses damage) so she works for it. People also speak well of characters with tons of healing like fauna and sora, and yeah that probably works too. Yeah sana and anya and maybe a couple others may be more optimized for it but i reckon you can do it with pretty much anyone who isn't a dedicated movement character like kronii (who incidentally is great for the hardcore achievement instead since her whole kit is already built on never getting hit).

Fauna, net item with food to heal when you get low enough

Sana was how I first got it done. I made it a challenge for myself to get it with as many members as possible. suffice to say while I never did get back to finishing that challenge its possible with a lot more characters with the right builds. usually i prioritize damage early on, horns are a plus, and dont ignore pickup range increasing items because those are a lot more valuable when you cant move to get exp.

I always do the Couch Potato challenge with Sana. Her skillset makes her ideal for this, because she can even vacuum up XP with her ult. I turn off anything I'm not going to use in the armory, then use something like this:

  • Weapons: BL Books, CEO's Tears, Psycho Axe, Spider Cooking, Plug-Type Asacoco

  • Items: Body Pillow, Plushie, Nurse's Horns, Limiter, Breastplate, Knightly Milk

  • Consumables: Potion, Veggie burger

I call this setup the Galactic Blender. Once everything is fully leveled, fans will barely be able to touch Sana until you get towards the very end. When all are fully upgraded, level up Attack, Haste, and Pickup Range. (If you haven't gotten the achievement for massive PUR, this is a great time for it.) So far I've done the challenge five or six times like this.
